ABOUT THEMENU

For dinner you can chose 1 of the following menu:
Meat meal

Antipasto/hors-d'oeuvre:
crostini con paté di fegatini di pollo/toasted bread with home made chicken liver pate
Ingredients: chicken liver, onions, salt, capers, anchovies and bay leaves 
Crostini con paté di olive/toasted bread with home-made olive pate.
Ingredients: black olives, anchovies garlic, fennel seeds and capers. 
Primo piatto/first course:
Pasta all'amatriciana
Ingredients: rigatoni with tomato sauce, bacon, pecorino cheese, garlic, salt and wine.
Secondo piatto/Main course:
Polpette al sugo/meatballs with tomato sauce. 
Ingredients: beef and pork minced meat, eggs, bread, garlic, nutmeg, parsley, salt and black pepper; fried and then cooked in tomato sauce. 
Contorno/Side course:
insalata mista/mixed salad
Dolce/Dessert:
Crostata di amarene. 
Home made tart with cherry jam. 
Pane/bread, vino della casa bianco o rosso a scelta/red or white house wine at your choice. 

Vegeterian meal

crostini con patè di carciofi/ toasted bread with home-made artichoke pate
Ingredients: artichokes, garlic parsley and salt.  
Formaggio stagionato con confettura di cipolle/ aged cheese with home-made onion confit.
Primo piatto/first course:
Orecchiette con verdure e pecorino/
Ingredients: orecchiette (typical pasta from the region of Puglia), egg-plants, zucchini, red peppers, onions, thyme, bay leaves marjoram, garlic, tomato sauce, salt and pecorino cheese.  
Secondo piatto/Main course:
Polpette di melanzane/ vegetable meatless “meatballs” 
Ingredients: egg-plants, bread, potatoes, pecorino cheese, eggs, garlic, flour and salt. 
Contorno/Side course:
insalata mista/mixed salad
Dolce/Dessert:
Crostata di amarene. 
Home made tart with cherry jam.

Ingredients: tuna fish, capers and olive oil.
Crostini con paté di pomodori secchi/toasted bread with home-made sun-dried tomatoes pate.
Ingredients: dry tomatoes, anchovies and capers. 
Primo piatto/first course: spaghetti con moscardini/spaghetti with octopus 
Ingredients: spaghetti, octopus, tomato sauce, olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt. 
Secondo piatto/Main course:
Sauté di cozze/sauted mussels
Ingredients: mussels, fresh tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, parsley and salt.

We had an amazing time with Rocco and Fabio in Rome. This was our first time eating in someones home in another country so we were a little nervous. We arrived a few minutes early and were greeted by two of the nicest guys you will ever meet. We felt like family! We waited to another couple from Germany to arrive and once we were all there we were treated to dinner. We had such a fabulous time! The dinner was amazing and the company was wonderful. We would love to go back and visit Rocco and Fabio again at another time. Thanks for such a good experience!

Our recent evening hosted by Rocco and Fabio was wonderful! From the moment we set foot in their home, it felt like we were visiting and catching up with old friends. Rocco and Fabio were warm, welcoming, and great with conversation. Over a multi-course meal, they gave us invaluable info on Rome, other parts of Italy. We compared our stories of worldwide travel, and they also taught us some Italian words and customs. The meal was well-paced, very plentiful, and simple delicious home-cooking. Red and white wines flowed all evening, and limoncello at dessert was just irresistible. All in all, our evening with these exuberant BonAppetour hosts was a highlight of our vacation, and we look forward to seeing them again when we return to Rome, and when they come visit New York City.

We started our trip by having dinner at Fabio and Rocco’s place and it was the best decision! We had an excellent night both Fabio and Rocco were so welcoming, friendly, and a great pleasure to talk with. They gave us excellent advise on where to go throughout our stay in Roma! Now to review the food... everything was absolutely delishes, we had the seafood menu and ate up everything!! Fabio and Rocco knew my wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary and they made sure that we felt like we were celebrating it! I would recommend this experience to any of my friends and family. Thank your rocco and Fabio!!

I wouldn't lie if I said it was one of the enjoyable and beautiful nights of my life. It was our wedding day and Fabio & Rocco hosted us marvelously. I feel really lucky to meet them. I think we were really crowded. However, it was a night that each of us was both very happy with our stomach and soul. Whatever we ate was very delicious. Moreover Fabio and Rocco was marvelous with their friendly attitudes and proffessionalism. I would like to thank them thousands of time for this very precious exprience. I hope, we'll see them again. We are four moms/grandmoms from California on all gals trip and had a wonderful home dining experience with Rocco and Fabio. We couldn't have asked for more gracious and delightful hosts. We also met two friends of theirs and another very nice guest. Their terrace was charming and the food delicious. They also gave us some inside tips on fun things to see which we did and were grateful for the information. We highly recommend a home dining experience with Rocco and Fabio. Grazie!
