Hello! We're Francesca and Ryan, yoga teachers and health geeks. We're bringing the passion of our
We went to Rome last September and we want to eat some special food. We can tell you, it was! Francesca & Ryan are super hospitable. We had a delicious dinermeal en there was plenty of it. A great evening! Thanks Francesca & Ryan
Very good food, beautiful location, nice & very friendly people, we can reccomend Francesca & Ryan ! :) Thanks for this experience, it was amazing!
A truly lovely meal! Francesca and Ryan went all out. They put so much care into the food, it was truly fine dining. Plus, they’re very sweet and fun to chat with. We loved our first Bonappetour experience. Thank you Francesca and Ryan!!
We had the loveliest time with Francesca! Unfortunately, Ryan was out of town, but we really enjoyed chatting with Francesca. She’s a great conversationalist and a truly wonderful host. Our dinner was out of this world. We had a radicchio and onion toast appetizer, an autumnal soup, perhaps the best cacio e pepe we had in all of Italy (yes, including the dairy version we treated ourselves with another night), some mushroom balls with a delicious yogurt-like sauce, beans, potatoes, and then a dessert we cannot believe didn’t have dairy—a chocolate mousse-like bar. Additionally, the organic and sustainable wine she served us was great and the digestif after the meal was spot on. Bonus: a killer view of the Colosseum from their beautiful apartment.
The best vegan food available in all of Rome! Ryan and Francesca have exemplary taste and style with an obvious passion that shined though all evening. We will book with them again next time we are in Rome!
This dinner was by far the highlight of our trip to Rome. Everything was absolutely incredible!! Francesca was the sweetest host and we had a fantastic time getting to know her and exchanging laughs and conversation. The food was better than anything I've ever eaten––I swear. Each dish was prepared so thoughtfully with their own unique and amazing flavours. Francesca took the time to explain the history and cultural significance of each dish too:) Plus, all of the ingredients were fresh and locally sourced! The apartment was beautiful and the view of the colosseum is to die for. We still cannot stop talking about how fun and yummy this dinner was. If you are looking for good vegan food in Rome, and an exceptional roman experience with a great host, do yourself a favor and book a dinner with Francesca!
This was my first experience with BonAppetour, but Francesca and Ryan definitely set the bar. I was welcomed very warmly into their cosy home, located in the heart of Trastevere. Although I'm not vegan myself, I do enjoy eating vegetarian (mostly) and vegan (occasionaly). The dishes they prepared were not only bursting with flavour, but also beautifully presented. They even made an extra effort to make every course gluten free, especially for me. It's hard to choose my favourite dish of the night. I was crazy about the homemade crackers and I thought their own take on farinata, made into a lasagna was a winner. Between all this lovely food, conversation was very easy and touched topics ranging from healthy eating, history, poor service in cake shops, movies, yoga, mummies (yes mummies) etc. Time flew by and I enjoyed every single minute of it. I wish them the very best and I'm sure their passion for healthy food/living will take them far!
I had the pleasure of dining with Francesca and Ryan for a whole week when I visited them last September and it really opened my eyes to vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Like a lot of people I have, out of habit, been a big meat and dairy consumer for most of my life but I have started to examine this in recent months and Francesca and Ryan helped me do this not only by showing me delicious alternatives to animal based foods, but also by sharing the wealth of knowledge and nutritional information they have. They were happy to answer all of my questions in a really helpful and positive way. I now eat significantly less animal products and feel much happier for it. In such a meat and cheese eating culture as Italy it is hard to find good vegan and vegetarian food, so the fact that Francesca and Ryan are sharing their home, their food and their passion with other people is a great thing.
I'm not a vegan but Francesca's food is always so delicious and it inspires me to make changes in my own eating habits. Francesca and Ryan are very knowledgable about food and nutrition and it's interesting to learn about these things from them. They have really opened mine and my partners eyes to the huge health benefits from being vegan, and made us realise that we can still get all the things we want in our daily diets from the vegan lifestyle. I can not wait to try more lovely dishes that francesca has to make.
