ABOUT THELOCATION

We live 2 minutes walk to the famous MAXXI, the new Museum for Contemporary Art and the Auditorium Parco della Musica.
Also from here, you can walk in 20 minutes to the Villa Borghese gardens, to the Zoo, the Etruscan Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Piazza del Popolo with its famous church and the shopping area at the Via del Corso. From there it is a short walk to the Spanish Steps, the Via Condotti and the Fontain of Trevi. A bus-stop and tram is just around the corner.
The area is full of small shops for commodities and there is a supermarket within walking distance, as well as some nice good restaurants, coffee-bars and a cinema. The Stadio Flaminio and Foro Italico are situated over the bridge.

I had a great time at Maria Laura's dinner. In Rome on business I was fed-up of dining out alone in restaurants, and so decided to go along to this social dinner. The food was great (loved the wild-leaves known as "Cicoria", fried up with garlci and fresh olive oil!!), I met some interesting people form Europe and South America, and got to see a different part of the City. Maria Laura and Barbara are lovely, welcoming women, with a fun sense of humour, in a relaxed atmosphere. I would reccommend the experience to anyone who wants to really get a feel of Italy!
