A long time hospitality professional with a humble heart. I know a lot about food and wine from the many unique and delicious opportunities I have been lucky to have had. Dining at it's finest as well as the most typical and simple meals. From the south of France, eating at my friends mothers home where she prepared the best fish dinner I have ever had to an incredible Oyster Tasting in Washington, DC served with my favorite, Tattinger Brut Champagne to the 5-8 Club, here in my hometown of Minneapolis, where they serve a Minnesota original, the Juicy Lucy. A burger with two patties, cheese stuffed in between, edges pinched together and fried on an 80 year old cook top stove. My favorite dish to prepare is whatever is in my fridge. I shop seasonally and enjoy our local butcher and fresh produce store. I have a special place in my heart for brunch and fondue. I live in a beautiful area in Minnesota on the Mississippi River which is surrounded with bluffs. The huge Glaciers that came through most of the state 1.8 million years ago missed this area leaving the bluffs behind that line Southeastern Minnesota. It's a unique topography that brings travelers from all over the world to enjoy. I share a home with Doug who enjoys to eat what I cook and we both enjoy traveling, flying (he is a pilot) and watching Netflix. Really looking forward to the next Orange is the new Black series!

Colette's cooking is marvelous but the view from the Dining Room table will distract you from the tasty morsels in your mouth as your eyes feast on the spectacular scenery from high up in the clouds. I think I enjoy most how she speaks about how she puts together a recipe, just hearing here say sweet and savory makes my mouth water. Can't wait to go back for seconds!
