I live in Rio de Janeiro and am a fan of "Panelada" (www.facebook.com/Panelada.rj). Panelada is the cooking trademark run by two very talented young chefs, Pedro Ivo and Pedro Perdigao. They offer their product either in street fairs or in fancy table meals at special occasions. Street fairs are fun to be in and the food products are simple yet tasty. Dinners offered once a month in the "Casa de Santa" , a hostel/restaurant in the hills of elegant Santa Teresa district. I can assure these dinners held in the place's exquisite open patio are second to no other classy restaurants I'd eat in any other place, either in Brazil or abroad. I definitely recommend Panelada's street fair food and, specially, their dinners.

I have been following the steps of Panelada for a long time. They have a very inventive and tasteful cooking. The highlight ,in my opinion ,is the monthly diner organized by them at a charming house located in Rio de Janeiro. Definitively recommended
