#My interests are very eclectic: I love cooking and everything food related
#off course - I'm always reading about new techniques and ingredients I want to try. I'm also a computer engineer by trade
#therefore I'm very interested in technology and such. But that's not all: I love traveling and reading about the world and it's people
#I enjoy videogames and comic books
#and I like to dance whenever I can.

Originally from Santarém, in the state of Pará, in the middle of the Amazon forest, I've been living in Rio for the last 8 years (and loving it). Although I make a living as a software engineer, my true passion lies in the kitchen - I've always loved to cook, and to eat as well. My other passion is travelling: I've been to almost two dozens countries, in America, Europe, Africa and Asia. I've tried grilled lamb in the wilderness of Patagonia, I've eaten 'true' tagine in the souks of Marrakesh and local delicacies in China and Turkey, not to mention a through sample of the french and spanish cuisines. Besides, I've travelled extensively inside Brasil, tasting all it's local specialities and terroirs. Being from the Amazon region, with family in the northeast and living in the southeast of the country has made me familiar with all our amazing (and little explored) gastronomical heritage, from tacacá to buchada de bode to tutu de feijão. Lately, I've been giving cooking more of a proeminent role in my life. Together with a friend I've started a project called Panelada (www.facebook.com/panelada.rj) where we are doing small events, street markets, dinners, etc. So far, the response has been amazing, and I'm confident eatwith will prove to be another channel through which to express all those references that I bring to the kitchen, to the enjoyment of the guests!
