Join me and my wife Giovanna for a traditional dinner at our cozy home. Made with freshly bought ingredients (I do the shopping), we take delight in enjoying Italian cuisine as we know it - truly authentic, with recipes passed down the generations. We will start off with some light snacks, followed by the main course, which is usually fish together with some crisp salad, and then a desert. Welcome to Florence!

Andrea and his wife were wonderful hosts. They even let us come a little early to learn how to make some of the dishes. We had some of grandma's recipe leek soup, a stewed beef dish, some chestnut flour cake, and plenty of wine and joviality. I'd definitely recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic Italian home-made dinner.
We had a wonderful time at Andrea and Giovanna's place. Both of them have been great hosts, and the beef stake was the best cooking experience in Florence. We had also chestnut cake "Mont Blanc" as desert, which was really interesting (as we had no idea cakes can be done out of chestnuts) and chickpease soup. We found out some interesting elements about Romanian dances, which Andrea and Giovanna knew better than we did :), we found their openness and general culture really to be admired. What is most interesting about this type of experience, that we tried for the first time, is that you get to know local food, and not always pizza, pasta, for which Italy is very well known, but what people do for their own. Definitely an experience to try, to have the taste of the city, of the country where you are travelling. We definitely recommend it!
Andrea and hs wife cooked an amazing meal and were super friendly. It was nice to try some local home cooked meal after eating out at various restaurants during my trip to Italy. I'd highly recommend Andrea's and his wife's Bonappeitour experience.
I'm a guest at Andrea's home, as a friend. There, you can appreciate the warm and friendly athmosphere of the house: Andrea and Giovanna just make you feel at home; they are pleasant hosts, full of interests. Food is what it has to be: fresh, well cooked, according with Tuscanian tradition. Last time we enjoied togheter a good "ribollita", the typical Tuscanian soup, and "baccalà in umido", codfish with tomato sauce and potatoes, a recipe with the taste of old times: fantastic!
