I meet so many people from different cultures who are all united by one thing – cooking!
‘Life is a combination of magic and pasta’ (Federico Fellini). Food is, and has always been, a way into a country’s or a place’s local culture. The Roman food culture is very rich and I am excited to be sharing it with you when you visit Rome!
A typical lesson goes something like this: we spend a couple of hours preparing, cooking, and learning about the dishes and the techniques used. Then we sit down to your very own home-cooked meal with a good bottle of wine.
I start by taking you through the ingredients, explaining the origin of each of them and the history of each recipe. I enjoy the variety of Italian regional cuisine and I'm keen to impart my knowledge with you. This is also a great way for people to get a taste of the real Italian culture when visiting Rome and learning how to make some authentic Italian dishes and bring these skills back home!

My friend and I enjoyed our time with Sandra while learning to make pasta, tiramisu, and eggplant Parmesan. Sandra has great skill to pass on plus she is a delightful host. We found her to have great attention to detail and to us, as we were learning some new recipes. It was an added bonus to be in her home and to have relaxed time for discussion and storytelling. We laughed a lot while learning to make a few simple recipes. We highly recommend Sandra!
Our cooking class with Sandra was the best! Sandra opened up her home to us like family and made my family of 4 feel so welcome. She knows her food and taught us to make an amazing 3 course meal from scratch - the tiramisu was amazing! She even gave us tips for the rest of our stay in Rome. It was one of the highlights of our trip and I would definitely recommend her class! Grazie Mille!!
My husband and I had a great time with Sandra! She's an excellent teacher and an even better host! The meal we prepared in her home was one of the best meals we've had during our week-long stay in Rome. The ingredients we used were fresh and top quality like olive oil from her friend's orchard. We learned a lot about Italian food and way of life from Sandra. Cooking with her was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend speding a night with Sandra!
We LOVED our time with Sandra. She welcomed us into her home with open arms and taught us how to make three wonderful dishes! The food was the best meal we have had in Italy and we made it together as a family, so that makes it even more special. Sandra had amazing cooking skills and knowledge. We are excited to try the recipes out at home! She was so accommodating with the recipes, as I am a vegetarian. Everything was so fresh and we loved the fact that she was very into fresh, organic ingredients. We highly recommend letting Sandra impart her wonderful knowledge and cooking on you! This was a highlight of our trip to Rome.
This class was AMAZING!! Sandra was so helpful and supplied everything needed. Her home is only a short walk from the subway station. What we loved about this class was that we handmade everything ourselves and Sandra just walked us through it. Sandra was so sweet and kind and made us feel at home. This was definitely a highlight of our trip thanks to her. An absolute MUST!!
Loved this so much! Sandra was a really great teacher - we made delicious food and we all sat down around the dinner table and enjoyed our meals with a bottle of wine. She also booked a taxi for us to get back home, which was very nice of her. This is a great way to make friends, too!
Sandra's cookery class was one of the best experiences we had whilst staying in Rome! Such delicious food and great knowledge learnt!! Sandra is so hospitable and welcoming. Now love making homemade pasta and have learnt cookery skills for life. Would reccommend to any foodie!
We had so much fun cooking at Sandra's house! She is interesting and fun to talk to, and very knowledgable on both her ingredients and food. She really made cooking fun, not to mention our meal turned out AMAZING! I would recommend this experience to anyone going to Rome. Thank you Sandra for the wonderful evening!
Our best evening during our trip in Rome! Sandra is really an expert in teaching, cooking and being an amazing host! This is the perfect way to learn AND taste some proper Italian local cuisine! She made us feel really welcome in her home. We made an amazing starter, artichoke, delicious pasta alla amatriciana, and finally tiramusi! For all the dishes, fresh local food & ingredients were used!
We had a wonderful time cooking a delicious 3 course meal with Sandra at home in her lovely kitchen.
