I meet so many people from different cultures who are all united by one thing – cooking!
‘Life is a combination of magic and pasta’ (Federico Fellini). Food is, and has always been, a way into a country’s or a place’s local culture. The Roman food culture is very rich and I am excited to be sharing it with you when you visit Rome!
A typical lesson goes something like this: we spend a couple of hours preparing, cooking, and learning about the dishes and the techniques used. Then we sit down to your very own home-cooked meal with a good bottle of wine.
I start by taking you through the ingredients, explaining the origin of each of them and the history of each recipe. I enjoy the variety of Italian regional cuisine and I'm keen to impart my knowledge with you. This is also a great way for people to get a taste of the real Italian culture when visiting Rome and learning how to make some authentic Italian dishes and bring these skills back home!

This has been the best experience ever! We had such an amazing time cooking with Sandra, we made a vegetarian menu that had fried zucchini flowers stuffed with buffalo mozzarella, risotto cooked with trevisano, parmesan and red wine and rosmery, and tiramisu (and also wine! Lol). Sandra is so fun and welcoming, and apart from the wonderful cooking we were also so happy to get to know her over the incredible and very delicious dinner that we made. Very very highly recommended, every person with a passion for cooking that is traveling to Rome should go visit Sandra and take this great great class!!! Already planning on making Risotto next Friday for my friends here in Israel.
My partner and I was looking for a good cooking class last minute while we were in Rome. Sandra was really quick to respond and accommodated us the same day we book for the class. Sandra was very informative and made us felt right at home. We learned to make pasta with the sauce, foccacia bread and paired with a wine, and a dessert. She taught us a lot about cooking techniques and history. We shared some good conversations about food while having our meals. Sandra is really interesting and knowledgeable about food. It was an amazing night! I highly recommend you take the time to have an experience like this!
We had a fabulous first night in Italy with Sandra back in June. She was an incredibly friendly and hospitable host and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and enjoy ourselves - which we did, immensely! Sandra was very knowledgeable about Italian food and wines and gave us some great restaurant tips for our stay in Rome (which were fantastic!). Food was fresh, hearty and delicious, using top quality organic ingredients. Could not recommend enough! A great experience.
We absolutely loved our experience with Sandra! She really cared about us learning how to make everything and also about our whole Italy experience. The food was amazing and she also gave us some really good recommendations for the rest of our time in Italy! We highly recommend her class to anyone in Rome who wishes to eat some delicious home-cooked food and have a fun time too!
My friend and I enjoyed our time with Sandra while learning to make pasta, tiramisu, and eggplant Parmesan. Sandra has great skill to pass on plus she is a delightful host. We found her to have great attention to detail and to us, as we were learning some new recipes. It was an added bonus to be in her home and to have relaxed time for discussion and storytelling. We laughed a lot while learning to make a few simple recipes. We highly recommend Sandra!
Loved this so much! Sandra was a really great teacher - we made delicious food and we all sat down around the dinner table and enjoyed our meals with a bottle of wine. She also booked a taxi for us to get back home, which was very nice of her. This is a great way to make friends, too!
Sandra's cookery class was one of the best experiences we had whilst staying in Rome! Such delicious food and great knowledge learnt!! Sandra is so hospitable and welcoming. Now love making homemade pasta and have learnt cookery skills for life. Would reccommend to any foodie!
We had so much fun cooking at Sandra's house! She is interesting and fun to talk to, and very knowledgable on both her ingredients and food. She really made cooking fun, not to mention our meal turned out AMAZING! I would recommend this experience to anyone going to Rome. Thank you Sandra for the wonderful evening!
Our best evening during our trip in Rome! Sandra is really an expert in teaching, cooking and being an amazing host! This is the perfect way to learn AND taste some proper Italian local cuisine! She made us feel really welcome in her home. We made an amazing starter, artichoke, delicious pasta alla amatriciana, and finally tiramusi! For all the dishes, fresh local food & ingredients were used!
We had a wonderful time cooking a delicious 3 course meal with Sandra at home in her lovely kitchen. Under expert guidance we managed to producere a splendid starter, wonderful homemade pasta and a delicious dessert. All the while we talked and laughed and got wiser both about cooking, food and Rome. We highly recommend this opportunity and experience!
