If you are visiting Italy on honeymoon and are looking for romantic things to do in Rome, I would like to cordially invite you to a gastronomical dining experience at my place, where I will prepare a special menu for you and your loved one. It will be a romantic ambiance, away from the hustle and bustle and long queues at restaurants and other tourist traps. An intimate setting, will make for a more romantic and unique experience. It will be just a private dining experience, with me, as a professional chef and wine sommelier, at your service. You could choose to have your own romantic time with your loved one, or dine together with me and my girlfriend (a double date), and we will share with you some of our stories, and what we like about Rome as well.
I live a short distance away from the Vatican City and St.Peter's, in a beautiful, quiet and cozy neighbourhood. The way to my apartment is filled with cobblestoned pathways and beautiful old houses. As it is also on a hill, you can catch a glimpse of the Roman skyline, over the Vatican City.
In the summer and when the weather is beautiful, we can have dinner in my well kept garden where you can see and smell the herbs I will use for your dishes and the lemon tree that I use for my homemade limoncello!
What an amazing experience. Chef Tony and Elena were amazing hosts, and served up some amazing food and wine pairings. We booked on short notice as we were traveling from Florence to Rome, and he took us with 24 hour notice. Thanks so much for the amazing meal and experience!
An unforgettable experience. The food was AMAZING. We loved chatting with Alessandro and Elena. I will be recommending this to all my friends. A must when in Rome.
Our hosts did an excellent job and really helped to make a special evening truly unforgettable. Fantastic organization, fantastic food! Thank you so much
So much fun! Enjoyed every minute!!
We had so much fun at this dinner. It was a blast meeting Alassandro and Elena! They made us little candy bags and got flowers for our anniversary ! It was a blast and we would definitely do it again and recommend to our friends!
My husband and I had dinner with Alessandro and a wonderful guest from Holland. His home restaurant was a unique and delicious experience for us. Our food and wine was explained in great detail by our passionate host. We learned about Roman cooking, as well as having some laughs and great conversation about our different cultural traditions. I love being in the presence of someone passionate about what they do and we had that with Alessandro. The meal he made for us was fantastic. I'll be dreaming about the chicken in red wine sauce!
My cooking experience with Alessandro was amazing. Alessandro was such a warm, knowledgeable and generous host. I learnt so many invaluable tips, tricks and traditional methods of preparation from Alessandro. Alessandro is very skilful and passionate about using simple, fresh, seasonal ingredients to prepare amazingly flavoursome and nourishing dishes. I thoroughly enjoyed sharing the prepared meal with Alessandro and his partner Elena, who were able to give me an insight into what it was like living as an Italian. I can not recommend Alessandro as a cooking experience host or private chef enough! It has definitely been a highlight of my visit to Roma.
AMAZING! This was the highlight of our trip to Rome. We learned to make fresh Pasta that was so simple and so delicious. Alessandro is fantastic and the hospitality was outstanding. We had delicious wine and limoncello and great conversation. He gave us several recommendations for Rome and other areas of Italy, and everything we tried was great. We truly enjoyed our experience and wished we could have stayed longer in Rome to do his wine tasting tour. Highly Recommend. Thank you again so much Alessandro!
We enjoyed a wonderful five course dinner with Alessandro at his " home restaurant" in an intimate teracce setting. Alessandro had put a lot of thought into the menu, and the dishes were perfect for a very warm August evening. Everything was fresh and light, and many of the ingredients were from his garden. Alessandro was also a gracious host shared lots of insights into local food and wine. Everything combined to make a wonderful, memorable evening.
We booked a four-course dinner at Alessandro's home restaurant via BonAppetour. It was a great opportunity to experience a genuine home-cooked meal with a local host, in a non-touristy neighbourhood (albeit not far from the Vatican). From the start, communication with Alessandro was very easy - he was friendly and quick to respond. We were a group of four with very different dietary requirements and preferences, which Alessandro took into account with the menu. Our opinions of individual dishes differed, but we all agreed that the pasta and chicken were outstanding - the best dishes I'd tasted in Rome! The bruschetta made with homegrown tomatoes was also stunning. I don't drink, so Alessandro introduced me to Chinotto, which was refreshing and absolutely delicious. Alessandro was a great host. He explained how he made each dish and we had a very interesting conversation about all sorts of things! As it was summer, we sat in the (sheltered) garden and were able to go up to the roof terrace and see the homegrown herbs and vegetables he used. Afterwards he sent us an email with plenty of food-related tips and recommendations, and we visited one of the recommended food stores which was indeed amazing! I highly recommend dinner with Alessandro. There are many great restaurants in Rome, but Alessandro's kindness and hospitality, and the personalised experience, made this event truly memorable.
