Are you looking for a cooking lesson in Rome? How about taking a cooking lesson with locals in Rome? Join me for a hands-on cooking lesson in Rome, near the Vatican City, and experience a variety of delicious authentic Italian dishes.
Being a professional Chef and a Sommelier, you can expect to all the tips and tricks which will help you make this dish for your friends and family even after you go home! I'd love to pass on my knowledge of Italian cuisine to you as we cook the most important Italian dish of all: Pasta.
We will cook with fresh seasonal ingredients and enjoy the meal together once we're done cooking, of course with the best wines chosen by me, and perhaps some home-made limoncello!
Join me and my girlfriend - we are both Romans and we like cooking, wine, films and rugby. During our meal together, you can be sure to have a good, relaxing time, full of pleasant conversations. We like to talk about various subjects including food, films and readings. My girlfriend is in fact a writer and a film critic!
Besides cooking the best Italian dishes, we love meeting new people from around the world!
I live a short distance away from the Vatican City and St.Peter's, in a beautiful, quiet and cozy neighbourhood. The way to my apartment is filled with cobblestoned pathways and beautiful old houses. As it is also on a hill, you can catch a glimpse of the Roman skyline, over the Vatican City.
In the summer and when the weather is beautiful, we can have dinner in my well kept garden where you can see and smell the herbs I will use for your dishes and the lemon tree that I use for my homemade limoncello!
Alessandro's pasta-making class was flawless, one of our very favorite memories from Rome! He taught us how to make the full meal, from start to finish, and we had the time of our lives rolling that pasta! And the FOOD - it was one of our most delicious meals in Rome. (We couldn't believe we cooked it! :) ) Highly, highly recommend!!
I was actually on a business trip to Italy, and I had two free days in Rome before flying back to my country. Found out that Bonappetour is offering such service. So I thought of learning some Italian cooking to surprise my wife. My experience with Chef Alessandro was a very pleasant one. He is very friendly, and speaks perfect English. Not only he was teaching me how to cook Italian dishes, but at the same time explaining to me about Italian ingredients, geography, and even the culture! It was an amazing night spent with Alessandro and his lovely girlfriend. I've learned so much about Italy from them, including Italian wine areas and their characteristics. It was truly a memorable time. I will definitely come to Chef Alessandro again if I ever come back to Rome.
This was a fun way to learn about the culture and something you can take home with you. We look forward to preparing our pasta at home and remembering our time in Italy!
This was the greatest Experience. Simply put! It was our topic of conversation and the measure of all things. WONDERFULL.
We dined with Alessandro and Elena one night on our vacation to Rome with six friends. It was an excellent meal and we enjoyed talking with Alessandro and Elena. A highly recommended experience!
Thank you so much for this fantastic experience for my sister and brother-in-law!! They only said great things about Alessandro and his girlfriend. After their dinner, my sister texted me, "Alessandro's dinner was so fun and so delicious! He and his girlfriend were lovely and we were super impressed with what he did without wheat and dairy." Alessandro even had a birthday candle and dessert for my brother-in-law's birthday - so thoughtful. Would highly recommend!
Alessandro and Elena are great hosts. Good conversation and very kind recommendations. I recommend the experience. Thanks to both!!
A great highlight of my trip to Rome! I enjoyed a wonderful 5 course meal with Alessandro (Tony) and a lovely family of 3 also visiting Rome. This is a great way to connect with other tourists. Tony is a considerate host; from the dinner setting outside in his garden, to the pairing of wine with food, to the conversation and stories of Rome. He really ensures you a great evening. The food is divine and dont miss out on the limoncello! Best i had in Rome. Thanks again Tony!
Book a food experience with Alessandro and you will not be disappointed. He and his partner Elena give you a special evening with all home made food. Even the limoncello at the end he makes from his own citrus tree. Delicious it was, I never drink this liquor but I really enjoyed. As he is a sommelier too, he finds the best wine with the food. This evening a special wine that grows near the sea so it has a very little salty taste. It was perfect with the hole dinner. Alessandro explained the special Roman food he makes while I watched every now and then in the kitchen seeing him cook. Elena joined at the table and took part in the conversation about all kind of topics. I could understand most of the Italian they spoke to me, but for me I was better to speak in English because I had only 5 days Italian lessons. It was very intimate as if we were already good friends and when I came home there were already the email with pictures from the evening and links to good restaurants and other places for example where tot go to a nice beach. I really enjoyed everything this evening!! Thank you both. Hylkia from Holland.
Thank you, Tony and Elena, for the wonderful evening. The food was amazing and we had a great time. This evening was a highlight of our trip! Hope to see you again one day. Regards, Yulia and Yuri.
What a delightful time my family spent with Alessandro and Elena on Christmas Eve. Our party of 16 was treated to a delicious meal and true Italian hospitality. Overall, most of the group said that dinner was the highlight of the vacation.
Alessandro was a wonderful host! We had an adventure navigating the little curvy streets to get to his cozy home. Our group of 8 dined with 3 other guests, who were lovely. Alessandro fully explained the menu he would prepare and his passion for local cuisine was apparent. We had three courses plus some holiday cakes (pannetonne) and chocolate for dessert. The main course was an orange chicken with fennel/Olive/orange salad. It was spectacular. With dinner, we had local red and white wine. After dessert, Alessandro served his homemade limencello. It was divine! I highly recommend dinner with Alessandro if you are looking for an authentic Roman experience. We hope to visit again!
