ABOUT THEMENU

Discover the Flavours of Chinatown with us:

1. Foodstop I - Local Singaporean coffee
How about kickstarting our day with a cup of traditional local coffee? Did you know that there are more than 9 different ways to order your coffee in Singapore? In this tour, you will visit a traditional local coffee shop frequented by locals. Learn about how local coffee is made, and how to order it in Singaporean Lingo. Then enjoy the aromatic and robust local coffee with a popular Singaporean kaya-toast (toasted bread, with a pandan based jam) - a MUST TRY when in Singapore.

2. Foodstop II - Bak Kut Teh, Chicken Rice and other hawker foods.
Our main course stop. Visit a local hawker food centre filled with all kinds of yummy delicacies. Hawker life in Singapore is not an easy one, with many hawkers waking up at 4am to prepare food for the day. Here, you will taste a variety of dishes - from bak kut teh (slow cooked pork with herbs & spices) to chicken rice (a Singaporean MUST HAVE) and laksa (noodles cooked in coconut milk and curry with seafood). Learn how they are made, and what makes a great plate or bowl -with our guide, you can be guaranteed that you are eating the best!

3. Foodstop III - Desserts!
Our dessert stop. Visit a popular local dessert store that serve all kinds of local favourites from traditional to modern desserts. One recommended dish is the ice kachang - a refreshing bowl in the Singaporean heat. It is literally an ice mountain - made with shaved ice and eaten together with yummy condiments like agar agar (jelly), read beans and corn.

4. Experience Chinatown!
While eating your way through Chinatown, your guide will also take you around to some of the heritage locations there, from the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, street foods complex and more. Experience the sights in Chinatown, try food activities, get in touch with local culture and people and get immersed in the stories our guide has to tell you.

ABOUT THELOCATION

You'll start your tour at Chinatown MRT. Enjoy the sights and sounds of Singapore as you travel from one destination to another!

Please dress light with comfortable walking shoes. We also recommend bringing along an umbrella or poncho and bottled water to stay cool.

Our relative came all the way from Thailand and had a great time having a walking tour in Chinatown lead by Yap! He gently explained everything about the history and background of every spots in Chinatown. Although that day is a bit rush of time due to our schedule trip to Johor after this tour, it was really interesting and we had a great time there with Yap. Thanks for your kindness and flexible of arranging time for us and also e-tickets that I bought from your website! Highly recommended!!
