Join us for a food adventure in the fairytale village of Mazzano, a short drive from the center of Rome.
The charming medieval town is built on a tuff rock above the Treja Valley where you’ll find our home overlooking an ancient lush forest. Here you can experience a piece of history shopping with our chef at a typical market, handpicking fresh ingredients, meeting local merchants, and cooking together some of the recipes that mark the most authentic culinary traditions. After your hands-on lesson, you get to sip wine, enjoy our view, and indulge in your complete meal in the romantic liv-ing room or on the terrace. We’ll take care of your roundtrip transportation from Rome to this quaint village.
The aim of the cooking class is to give you the techniques needed to cook, giving you the skills to make and cook delicious Italian dishes to impress your friends back home.
After the market tour, you’ll head back to the cooking school to start your cooking class, after which you’ll sit down together and eat the delicious meal you’ve learned to cook accompanied by local wines from the region.
After you’ve eaten, you’ll be driven back to the centre of Rome, having acquired new skills and knowledge that will stay with you long after the holiday is over.
During your walking tour, you’ll discover more about the local food shops, market and history of Mazzano seeing life through a local’s eyes!
This will be a great activity to do together with your friends/spouse/ family.
Steeped in natural beauty, Mazzano with its clean environment is a popular retreat for many Roman families looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome’s city centre.

We three ladies, who don't cook at home much anymore since our families have grown smaller had a great time. The instruction was great, but it would be nice to have a written menu to take home. Lots of good cooking tips and ideas. Going to the market was fun.
One of the best days of our 4 week holiday! Easy to book. No problem in meeting at the pickup point. We enjoyed the whole experience from shopping for the ingredients at the local outlets to the location in the medieval town of Mazzano Romano. The house we cooked in was exquisite. We cooked 5 courses and enjoyed eating them( along with as much wine as we wanted) later in the day. Our chef Francesco was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He made the experience so much fun. Even though I could not make gluten free pasta there, I still made the regular pasta and Francesco had prepared gluten free options for me to eat at meal time. Great tips and cooking advice. We cant wait to try this out now at home. We hope to do another day in the future. Great value for money.
Fabiolous Cooking Day for me is an example of authentic experience. You can really learn the Italian cuisine secrets with tradion recipes and a hands-on lesson learning about pasta and pizza. People from all over the world feel the passion of the chefs during each lesson! Totally recommended
