João and Guillermo are incredible hosts; they are not only knowledgeable and friendly but also genuinely interested in their guests. You can feel they LOVE hosting and this create a lovely relaxed atmosphere. They offer a beautiful and unique experience around fresh local-sourced ingredients and Mineira Cuisine. Their place is very well located in an area full of bars, clubs and shops. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to feel like a local or would like to cook/eat some great typical Brazilian dishes from Minas Gerais.

I visited here with my parents and partner for dinner, and we all had the tasting menu. It was delicious, each dish pretty as a picture and full of flavour. We didn’t go for the caipirinhas, but had a great bottle of red to go with our meal. The hospitality of João's was wonderful and off the chart, attentive without being too much. The apartment itself is cosy and beautifully decorated, a slightly New Yorkish feel with neutral colors, but still warm. It was great to learn about some curiosities regarding Belo Horizonte and hear his stories about Argentina, India, England and all the places he has visited. Overall we had a lovely evening and I would definitely come here again and most importantly I will definitely recommend it to any friends who visit Belo.
