I am a Jamaican who has traveled around the globe and hope to continue traveling. My love for art has fueled my passion for cooking which I believe is an art in it's own right. I was brought up in the kitchen with my mom and started cooking at a very early age and became familar with her old recipes and cooking method which derived from the Spaniard Indians, African and French Creole just to name a few. Jamaican cusine uses such a unique blend of techniques and different spices. Most well known is the 'Jerk' style of cooking meat. My journey has taken me to many western cities and exotic locations throughout some south east Asian countries, one of which is now my current home. From one tropical island to another I am able to find the same ingredients for my cooking as I would in Jamaica. Blending all these different local spices with ones I already know, is such a thrill in my kitchen. My husband, a part time chef, when we lived in NC, is also passionate about food to the point where we just host parties for the sake of cooking for our friends. We do have a friendly rival in our kitchen from time to time, but it's only driven by our love of food! So, we open our doors and invite you to our home to enjoy a blend of Jamaican cooking or southern style grilling. We promise, you will be totally satisfied!
