The north is focused in the chic-mickey neighbourhood of Prenzlauer Berg. Known for its beautiful cobbled stoned streets, neo-classical buildings, French and Scandinavian-influenced colours and a plethora of traditional and trending eats.
But this area was not always as beautiful it is today. Prenzlauer Berg gave birth the Squatting culture and was at the heart of former East Berlin, with protests against Stasi rule and the Berlin Wall a regular occurrence.
The north has a heart & soul with a very rich history. We will show you the hidden paths and back-streets to places you would never find yourselves.
Be a local.
Hey! I'm Australian expat living in Berlin for now 11 years, i've become what we know here as a
Hi had a lovely private tour as there were drop outs. Ann my guide was warm, well informed and articulate On the food front - loved the coffee, the traditional bakery and Happies the new age restaurant. The Lebanese food place was average.
A Fantastic Foodie Tour Folks and Walks was the perfect way to start our vacation. We were taken around the hip neighbourhood of Kreuzberg which was bustling with cool bakeries, coffee shops, Lebanese restaurants to name a few Jane was so informative and really got the group chatting about everything from coffee to current events. She was very knowledgable and answered all our questions. I left the tour feeling like I had been out for lunch with friends! The company was exceptionally considerate when they had to change our tour date and our arrival time. We were able to be flexible and let them know once our fight had landed and if we were able to make the tour or not, offering us a full refund if we couldnt I would definitely take another folks and walks tour in Berlin, Germany or another country. Thanks for a great experience!
Gave it as a birthday present for my sister and her husband and they absolutely loved it :) "Thanks for the wonderful experience! We absolutely loved the format of going from place to place and learning about the food, the traditions and the city. Dov is an excellent narrator, the food was exquisite yet simple."
