ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

Our experience is for is for people who like growing, cooking and eating their own vegetables, learning old traditions and creating new ones. We'd like to be a place where we champion young chefs, artists, inventors, innovators, do-gooders and define what a 21st-century 'kampung' should be. Above all, we are about kindness and building an ecosystem around it. Kindness is karmic.

The cooking and dining experience is unlike anything you can find in Singapore. You can harvest the vegetable and cook them. Or we take you on a tour to taste all the different herbs and talk about the medicinal values of each.

The design philosophy of our house was to treat it like a 47-year-old woman. She wasn't sent to Korea for a full cosmetic makeover. Instead, the scars and stretch marks tell her life stories, which makes her a much more interesting woman.

We've hosted a 91-year-old Ah Ma (Grandma) who taught us how to tie dumplings. As a young girl, she was made to practise using sand as food was too expensive to waste then.

My mum has hosted company management dinners where they prepared and cooked their own dinner. We've had young chefs host a mental wellness awareness evening for 35 people.

We've hosted a dinner for Edible gardens where they picked the herbs from the garden, ground them, and made nasi lemak, prawn sambal, chicken curry and bamboo shoot.

* You will also receive a free giystick, our successful Kickstarter self watering system worth $10 free.

WHAT OTHERPEOPLE SAY

This dining experience was everything I'd hoped for and more. Calvin was a great host, and even invited additional friends to join in so that we could meet more people - it created a really celebratory atmosphere. Calvin's mom, our chef, allowed us to pitch in and make a delicious meal true to the region - it was a delight!
