ABOUT THEMENU

The Italian wine appreciation would consist of 5 indigenous Italian wines paired with local cheese and salami and other local delicacies.
Only good quality wine is served (either DOCG – label guaranteeing the quality and origin of a wine or ITG – typical geographical indication)
The water I serve is special, it is naturally lightly sparkling. I visit a spring in the south of Rome every month to bottle it at the source, especially for my guests.
The olive oil is bought directly from the oil mill once a year.
The range of cheese varies from soft fresh, to mild and seasoned ones. Depending on the time of year (mozzarella, stracchino, robiola, primo sale, caciocavallo, parmiggiano, grana padano)

Italian salami is from a local shop based on the season (parma prosciutto, speck, salami, mortadella)
Traditional liqueurs like Limoncello, and ones made with herb infusions to help digest better the meal.

If you want a different experience in Rome, be sure to come to my place!

ABOUT THELOCATION

The place is in Battistini area, one end of line A. 20 minutes from town centre.
However, once you reach the station you can either take bus 907 for 6 stops or get uber.
I also can provide the pick up and drop off service for 10 euro per person.

My friend and I were in search of something slightly different then a regular cooking class, when we found this wine tasting evening. It was exactly what we were looking for on our first night in Rome. We had a wonderful time with Tiziano. He is very kind, and very knowledgeable about Italian wines and local foods. He put much thought into the pairings of the wines and the foods. I live in Tuscany and conduct wine tours in Siena. Tiziano had a great selection of wines, most of which I had never tried before. There was plenty to eat, and we did not leave hungry that is for sure. We met his lovely mother, who had prepared some cooked lentils which we enjoyed on this cold winter evening. Would highly recommend this experience if in Rome.

Truly amazing from start to finish. First Titziano met us at the train station to take us to his home where he had set up beautiful table setting. The appetizer was delicious along with sparkling water where he offered everything freshly made and as much as we wanted- fruit, sliced meat, bread topped with tomato and basil. We watched him make the pesto for the past part of the meal and as he did this we engaged in conversation where he answered questions and talked about his country. Very obvious he is passionate not only about cooking and pleasing his guests but also very proud of his home town. We enjoyed the DELICIOUS pasta with unlimited wine. To top off this amazing meal he offered us home made strawberry Italian dessert. We ended with the opportunity to enjoy Italian coffee and liquers. Then he graciously drove us back to the train station and at no time did we feel rushed- he made us feel like pampered gusts yet he treated us like friends. I will highly recommend him to friends traveling to Italy and hope sometime to actually travel there again and meet up with Titziano. What a gracious host!

Awesome! We had an absolutely amazing time with our host Tiziano. The experience was worth it. It was interesting to hear the stories behind the food and where everything comes from. Be sure to come with an empty stomach- you will leave full! We especially loved the experience of being able to have a real Roman meal, in a quiet Roman neighborhood. Tiziano also shared some of the secrets for making our trip to Rome more successful. Highly recommend !!
