We went to Vuon42 not really know what to expect, and kind of surprised upon knowing that it is actually a resto. Kim greeted us with a big warm smile as she invited us to our seats, and share with us about herself and about the social mission of the resto, or a local hub as she would say, over bottles of beer and peanuts (the most delicious one I have ever tasted). The dishes are delicious, and really remind me of the good ol' days when I was younger eating mom's homecooked food, especially the soup (very fresh vegetables indeed!). Kim is knowledgeable and inspiring, and I learned a lot more about the food culture from her through the dining experience. Would really recommend this to anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City who would like to wind down, away from the bustling of the city central.

I came to kims place at vuon 42 when I first arrived in saigon. I am so happy that I found a place, family and staff who are so welcoming and friendly. I am moving to saigon for teaching, and in the time I stayed I extended my stay here until I moved in to a new place. When I leave I still plan on making frequent visits here because of how great it is. A lot of effort is put in to the guests here. and the animals and garden make it a very peaceful place. Even had a free coffee every morning and one free dinner. Kim was kind enough to take me and one other up to the markets too! Really welcoming family feel, great rooms, good food, brilliant atmosphere. I can't recommend it any more highly :) thank you
