ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

For many years, I revealed to my guests among history and archaeology, the secrets of Cretan Diet, which ensures good health and long life for centuries long.
In the end, I started producing my own ingredients and created my organic farm named “Bostani”. I have learned that the best compost is made of olive leaf and seaweed and that manure of my rabbits and goats can give the best veggies.
Today, ten years later, I am happy to welcome and guide you through my Bostani Bio Farm. At the same time, you can sit down for a multi-dish meal in which everything from the boiled eggs and chicken to the plump tomatoes, honey and wine is produced just meters away.

ABOUT THEMENU

An assortment of 7 distinguished and traditional Cretan dishes, named Mezes.

Melizanosalata (eggplant aubergine mashed and mixed with seasonings)

Souvlaki (Bite sized meat cubes (lamb is very common), grilled on a skewer over charcoal)

Tzatziki (Dip made from plain yogurt, chopped cucumber with finely chopped garlic and mint leaf)

Taramosalata (a fish roe dip based on cured carp fish roe, mashed potatoes and olive oil)

Fava (Split peas beans puree)

Dakos (Cretan rusks with olive oil, tomato, and crumbled mitzithra cheese)

Choriatiki (salad made with pieces of tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, onion, green bell pepper slices, feta cheese, capers and olives, typically seasoned with salt and oregano, and dressed with olive oil)

ABOUT THELOCATION

Bostani organic garden is situated at Missiria, the quiet suburbs of Rethymnon just outside( 3 kms eastwards) of the town and very close (400m) from the main north coast road of Crete.
