This was by far another highlight of our Trip to Tuscany. Giulio was our chef for the day and he started us in the coolest food Market in Florence know as the Mercato Centrale. This is an experience in itself where some of us tried a tripe sandwich a local favorite. Next stop was back to the kitchen to begin this wonderful experience of cooking. Giulio was wonderful at sharing all his secrets in creating a Ragu sauce or gravey as he might say because there was meat in it. The cooking class was a full day learning how to also make home made pasta from scratch and Tiramisu for dessert which lasted about 5 to 6 hours. We laughed, cooked, made new friends and drank. I would highly recommend Cooking with Giulio. Thank you, Regina

The time spent in Giulio's cooking was without any doubt the personal highlight of my stay in Florence (and yes, I walked up to the dome ;)). It all started with a great tour to the local market with a lot of interesting information from Giulio and we had the pleasure of tasting first a huge variety of truffle products (truffle oil, crème, butter, slices and even honey) and second various balsamic vinegar types at different “ages”. Next followed the fantastic cooking class where we learned a lot and Giulio answered all our questions patiently and more importantly, you could feel his passion for great and simple Italian food. Each of us made our own tiramisù and we went on to learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch. We were shown how to get a feeling for the right texture while making the dough, and to actually listen to your silently cooking ragù. The joy I felt in the market visit and the cooking would have been enough for me but of course for the grande finale we could eat the incredibly delicious ragù with probably the best tagliatelle I have ever eaten – and I have eaten lots and I’ve made fresh pasta with my family since I was a child. As an appetiser we also had bruschetta and as the dessert our personalised tiramisùs which tasted ridiculously rich and simply phenomenal. Oh, and of course there was the marvellous vino accompanying all this… This whole experience was my personal seventh heaven. Thank you Giulio, for this extraordinary experience!

Cucinare con Giulio è stata una esperienza bellissima e divertentissima. Siamo partiti con il tour del Mercato Centrale dove abbiamo comprato tutti i nostri ingredienti, è una volta arrivati abbiamo subito cominciato! Pasta fresca, ragù e tiramisù. Il tutto accompagnato da dell'ottimo vino. Giulio è stato divertente e paziente, ha spiegato tutto nei minimi dettagli. È stato di supporto quando sbagliavamo. Lo consiglio a tutti!
