ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

The Strudel is a typical Habsburg-Empire dessert, but it can be originated to the Turkish influence in Hungary. It is an essential part of the wedding dinner in the countryside. I use my mother’s recipe who makes the stretched version. This Strudel pastry is elastic, very thin and it is stretched by the hand. We make sweet and salty Strudel as well. Where I grew up, there were some typical fillings: poppy-seed with pumpkin, apple, sweet or salty cabbage and sweet cottage cheese cream. Now you can make these on my special baking course. Come and join my program, learn my family tricks and, at the end of the course, enjoy the result of your efforts.
It includes:
- every equipment, pot, kitchen equipment,
- family recipes and tricks,
- my help (I am a professional cook),
- drinks (Palinka, Hungarian wine, homemade soft drinks, mineral water, tea and coffee,
- Hungarian bites during the baking,
- 2 and half hour culinary program,
- private studio in the centre of Budapest,
- small group (2 to 10 people),
- lot of information about Hungary, customs and life.

ABOUT THELOCATION

This is a 65-sqm flat on the 1st floor in a traditional upper middle-class block of flats. The building was built in 1920s and it has an old gate with double wings, 2 staircases, corridors, inner yard and big pillars. Our flat has a big, well-equipped kitchen and a spacious dining room. The place has vintage style furniture with warm colours and several nice objects to create a friendly atmosphere. Maximum 10 people can sit at our dining table at the same time. You can come alone or with your partner and friends and you can also join others at the table.
