Mayuko is extremely friendly and kind, and has a great sense of humour. English skills are nearly at native English speaking level, better than any we've come across so far. She got everyone involved, and made cooking okonomiyaki and gyouza look easy. We even made some new friends who we shared the lesson with, and got a toe into Japanese eating culture.

I definitely recommend finding some time in your schedule to spend a few hours here with Mayuko! It was easily one of the best experiences we've had on our trip so far, giving us a glimpse into everyday life in Japan. We picked up some very useful knowledge on Japanese cooking, and we made some friends and fun memories in the process! The class environment is really welcoming and fun. If you're intimidated at all by taking a class in someone's apartment, don't be: Mayuko is an excellent teacher, and the class is very professional and well-organized. She runs a tight ship, making sure nobody's hands are idle for too long! And once you get to sit and chow down on the fruits of your hard work, it's wonderful to be able to talk and share experiences with both Mayuko and your fellow class-mates. I can't recommend this class highly enough!

Great experience and great food. Mayuko is just so nice and the best host. In addition it is very interesting to be in a real Japanese flat and get to know the Japanese lifestyle.
