ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

Pedal a bicycle through Rome's historic streets on this 3-hour tour and see Rome like never before.
Following your local cycling guide, you will stop at all of the most important Roman landmarks, such as the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and the Colosseum. Discover hidden pieces of Rome's history that lie off the beaten path, inaccessible to large tour buses. Cycle at a relaxed pace and listen to your guide's engaging commentary about the city's culture, traditions and history. Use of all cycling equipment is included.

The tour also includes time to enjoy Italian espresso and gelato.

ABOUT THEMENU

Your bike tour starts in central Rome, where you will meet your guide and set off on your ride around the historical center. You will stay in limited traffic areas with few cars, and travel along alleyways where tourists don't usually go.

With more than 2,700 years of history, Rome is packed with iconic landmarks that you will see more easily on a bike than you would on foot. Over four hours, ride past the main sights, like the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, and visit a few secret places rich in history. You will also get the chance to taste authentic Italian coffee and gelato...

Attractions you will see include: Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Farnese, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Piazza Colonna, the Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, the Borghese Garden.

My daughter and I visited Rome in April 2019 and booked this “foodies bike tour”. Based on the description from BonAppetour we were expecting a bike tour of the city with a focus on good local food. What we got was a bike tour of city (which was great) and a stop for gelato. Overall we enjoyed the tour and history of the city provided by our tour guide but were disappointed that we did not receive the tour we expected with a focus on local cuisine. The owner of the establishment offered to buy us lunch at a local place next door to his business , we accepted but when it came time to pay for our lunch they did not cover the cost. If you are truly a foodie I would recommend booking a different tour.

This was the best experience out of my entire trip. My friends and I travelled to Belgium, Spain, Greece, and Bari. We have been to Rome before and hated how touristy it was. We booked the bike tour in hopes it won't be touristic and it was just that. The bike ride was easy and smooth. The host was amazing, he showed us all the cool spots in Rome. Other than the fact that he was Roman he's also a historian so he was very very knowledgeable on everything in regards to history. We learned a lot, had an amazing ride, and a fantastic experience.

This is a must when visiting any large city. The tour was great, very well organised and Francesco was so friendly and funny. By going on a bike tour you get to visit so many different places within the city that you would not otherwise visit, also having a guide giving so much history is such a bonus. We were so lucky to visit most of all the top tourist sites, benefit was it was way quicker to ride, especially in the heat. It was a very hot day but a lot of the time we were riding in the shade, we constantly stopped for drinks or to fill up on water. Always felt safe when we were on the road, so no need to panic about that aspect. Stopped for lunch near the Spanish steps at a very old pasta shop, it was amazing. Would do this again when next in Rome.

What a great time! In was only in town for a couple of days and hadn't planned ahead to book the tour. The team at Rome Rent a Bike were great and were able to get me out with Francesco, my guide, and he was great. He had lots of local knowledge and offered great insight to the local history and culture. I highly recommend doing a tour with Rome Rent A Bike. Rome is a crazy place to ride but having a guide makes it much safer and way more relaxing. I'll be riding with them next time I'm in Rome.

Why walk in Rome or hop on hop off when you can experience the city like a local on a bike? Enjoy the city on 2 wheels by hiring a bicycle or Vespa. We had the joy of joining Francesco, owner of Roma Rent a Bike for a personal tour of Ancient Rome. Francesco is an archaeology and history graduate so the information you gain along the way is fantastic. Highly recommended from young to old. We have kept our bikes for a few days more to explore the city further. Baby seats, pull alongs and children's bikes available. Hot off the press... Fransesco has just got in new cruisers with super comfortable sprung seats-perfect for those cobbled stoned roads! Highly recommended and will be writing a piece on travelling to Rome with children for my travel blog LittleTravelPrincess

Had a 3+ hour bike tour with Francesco. He had a great attitude, knowledgable and fun to be with. Learned a lot about the major sights and got a good lay of the land. Great way to spend your first day in Rome to get oriented and understand the lay of the land. Good tour for the price.
