Meeting point
Lisbon Cooking Academy
This is the best way to know the Portuguese gastronomy and a huge part of our culture. We will meet at Lisbon Cooking Academy facilities and then we will walk to the local market (+/-8min walking) to buy fresh ingredients for our lunch. During the visit to the market we will chat about the richness of Portuguese products, their diversity and their role on the local gastronomy. After the visit, we will head back to Lisbon Cooking Academy, where we will cook our own lunch. The menu will vary according to the available products at the market, however you can count with a starter, a main course and a dessert. During the class, we will share with you all the tips and secrets about the recipes and in the end, we will eat our own food paired with red and white wine or soft drinks. Wine and snacks will be available during the class: some people say the best way to cook is with a glass of wine in your hand.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE COOKING CLASS
What to expect: While pastry is a science, cooking is an art, so we will have recipes just to guide us. We will do some free-style during the class, so if you like to take notes bring a pen. You will mainly learn about the Portuguese way of cooking and its ingredients. On our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class so please bring comfortable shoes.
