ABOUT THEMENU

ANTIPASTO/HORS-D'OEUVRE
A choice of three hors-d'oevre among the following:
>Crostini con paté di olive/toasted bread with home-made olive pate.
Ingredients: black olives, anchovies garlic, fennel seeds and capers. 
>Friselle/typical toasted bread from Apulia region,
Ingredients tomatoes, red onions, origano, olive oil, salt.
>Crostini con paté di pomodori secchi/toasted bread with home-made sun-dried tomatoes pate.
Ingredients: dry tomatoes, anchovies and capers. 
>Crostini con paté di tonno/toasted bread with home made tuna fish pate,
Ingredients: tuna fish, capers and olive oil.
>Frittata di patate/ Omelette with potatoes,
Ingredients: potatoes, onions, red peppers, eggs, rosemary, olive oil, salt, balck pepper.
>Crostini con paté di fegatini di pollo/toasted bread with home made chicken liver pate
Ingredients: chicken liver, onions, salt, capers, anchovies and bay leaves.
>Crostini con patè di carciofi/ toasted bread with home-made artichoke pate
Ingredients: artichokes, garlic parsley and salt. 
PRIMO PIATTO/FIRST COURSE
A choice of one first course among the following:
>Pasta all'amatriciana 
Ingredients: rigatoni with tomato sauce, bacon, pecorino cheese, garlic, salt and wine. 
>Orecchiette con verdure e pecorino/
Ingredients: orecchiette (typical pasta from the region of Apulia), egg-plants, zucchini, red peppers, onions, thyme, bay leaves
marjoram ,garlic, tomato sauce, salt and pecorino cheese.
>Pasta cacio e pepe
Ingredients: rigatoni, pecorino cheese, black pepper.
SECONDO PIATTO/MAIN COURSE
A choice of one main course among the following:
>Polpette al sugo/meatballs with tomato sauce. 
Ingredients: beef and pork minced meat, eggs, bread, garlic, nutmeg, parsley, salt and black pepper; fried and then cooked in tomato sauce. 
>Brasato di manzo/braised beef
beef, red wine, carrots, celary, rosemary, cloves, garlic, bay leaves, black pepper in grains, cinnamon, olive oil, salt.
>Polpette di melanzane/ vegetable meatless “meatballs” 
Ingredients: egg-plants, bread, potatoes, pecorino cheese, eggs, garlic, flour and salt. 
CONTORNO/SIDE COURSE
>insalata mista/mixed salad
DOLCE/DESSERT
>Crostata di amarene o di albicocche/cherry or apricot tart 
Home made tart with cherry or apricot jam.

ABOUT THELOCATION

We are a couple Rocco and Fabio. We live in Rome in a very nice area close to the magnificent park of Caffarella/Appia Antica, 15 minutes walking from San Giovanni Cathedral. Our place is modern and cosy , in particular the terrace is beautiful with plenty of plants. It is possible to live outdoor in Summer and Winter thanks to a conservatory that can be completly opened in Summer and in Winter it is warmed up by a fire place. We love eating, drinking and traveling. We have friends in several different countries and we love meeting new ones all the time. Rocco is from Taranto, Puglia, but he loves some tipical dishes of the Roman cuisine that now became his specialities, Fabio as well as helping cooking, entratains guests conversing in English, French and Spanish.
