If you have been dreaming of having the ultimate foodie experience in Paris then look no further. Come experience a typical Parisian dining experience at my place.
First, we'll have an apéritif in my living room decorated with XVIIIth century woodworks, paintings and furniture. We'll then move on to the dining room where I will serve you a three course meal and you can experience French food with a local. I've been brought up with French dishes such as Boeuf Bourguignon (classic French beef stew), Petit Salé aux Lentilles (a stew of boiled cured pork belly with puy letils), Hachis Parmentier (similar to a Cottage Pie), but I like adding a touch of modernity to it. My inspiration comes from the vibrant Parisian cooking scene, as well as the seasons and produce it brings to the market. My cooking thus varies from one season to another and I cook only with the freshest ingredients in order to make a delightful, tasty and memorable meal.
Wine will also be served. I have my own cellar but please let me know if you have any specific requests.
I live steps away of the Champs-Elysées in a typical Haussmanian appartment built in the 19th century. It is very central with a lot of public transportation and taxi stations around. The surroundings include some major museums such as the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais, the Jacquemart-André museum, the Musée du Jeu de paume for photography and l'Orangerie where Monet's nympheas are on display. The Modern art museum is also at walking distance as well the Galliera Museum. It's perfect to come here for a lesson in French cooking after a day exploring the capital!
This was our first bonappetour experience but it was one of the highlights of our trip to France. My husband and I enjoyed our time with Florence. The food was plenty and delicious. We had a great time chatting with our gracious host. We enjoyed our time so much that we shared the site with the rest of our tour group. We will absolutely do another bonappetour experience again.
Planning our recent trip to Paris, my sister, my girlfriend and myself looked for things to do that would be unique to French culture. We found a site that offered a dining experience in a French apartment with an authentic French dinner. Florence was an exceptional host; upon entering her apartment we loved her taste in décor. She served us some delicious appetizers and an aperitif. I have to honestly say; at first it was a tad uncomfortable. We initially thought there would be other guests. Florence excused her self and went to put finishing touches on our dinner. When dinner was ready to be served we entered the dining room, the table was set beautifully. We had brought wine, and she had long stem wine glasses ready, and the wine uncorked. After about 10 minutes the awkwardness was gone, it was like we were eating at a close friends house. Florence shared stories with us about things we had in common. We laughed a lot. Our dinner was delicious. We started with a poached egg in the most scrumptious sauce with a crusty baguette. After almost licking the plate, we were served the main courses, which was salmon with fantastic sides. Florence is a great cook. Cheese was served after the main course, followed by a delicious plum dessert. All in all it was a great evening. We totally recommend this experience to anyone visiting Paris. If we lived in Paris, we would consider Florence to be someone we would like to be friends with.
We had the Most Delightful Evening spent with Florence! Her mushroom dish was absolutely to die for! So seasonable and seasoned perfectly and delicately. She served red fish with a tapenade that perfectly complimented the fish. Her white plum tart tasted as though the sun had warmed them a minute ago! For some reason, we were not previously aware that wine was not served with dinner, other than the sparkling cava that accompanied the herbed gougeres appetizers. We received an email to that effect, but did it receive it until we had reached our Airbnb. Must have been slow internet as I am frequently checking and we had wine we would have been happy to bring. Florence’s apartment was absolutely spectacular!!! She has decorated it in a very comfortable style. It is an event in itself!!! We would love to curl up with a book and kitty in her sofas in front of a raging fire!! All was very nice; highly recommended, Madeline and Larry Petersen
Had a wonderful feast with Florence in her beautiful 19th century home near the Champs Elysées earlier this month. She was the perfect host, and created a welcoming ambiance. The conversation flowed easily, even when she was busy preparing the numerous plates she offered us. She was gracious and very accommodating about some special dietary needs and the presentation was artistic and appetizing. I heartily recommend this one-of-kind Parisian dining experience!
Having the chance to dine in the beautiful Parisian home of our host was a perfect delight. From the moment we arrived, Florence put us at our ease, and sat to chat with us over hors d’oeurged. We had specified a few dietary issues before our visit, and she was able to accommodate them with delicious, beautifully prepared and healthy dishes. we had a lovely conversation and quite a relaxed evening. Would do it again, without question. I highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting Paris for a rare treat!
When you enter the "appartment" it is as if you are in Belle Epoque Paris but with all the modern conveniences. Dining with Florence, a charming hostess, is a 5 star experience; the beautifully plated meal that she served was made with all fresh ingredients and beautifully plated. She will help you to select a wine that complements your dinner. A plus is that she knows all the shops to buy gourmet foods and sturdy pans to bring back home. We hope to return soon for a real Parisian experience. Luci and Bill
