My Food Experiences
Our cooking class with Monia and her husband was my favorite night of our entire week in Italy! We made the pasta from scratch and then used her spinach and cheese mix to make ravioli. Although making the pasta was fun, I honestly think the evening was so great because of Monia and her husband. They were so friendly and personable and we learnt so much about each others cultures that it made for a great evening. We were also surprised with wine, appetizers and desserts. We were there for about 4 hours and if we weren't so tired we probably would have stayed another 4! Fabulous evening!
Una sera perfetta! A perfect night of cooking, conversation and connecting with others! And wait, don’t forget the amazing food - pasta which we learned to make and glorious appetizers and dessert made by Monia. Monia and Emmanuel welcomes us to their home and to their table and along with pasta, we learned about Italian life and culture. They even called a taxi and waited with us at the end of the evening! I would repeat this class again or take another one just to be in their presence again!
We felt so welcomed from the moment we stepped into the house. The pasta making, eating and lovely dinner were fantastic. We could not have asked for a more fun, interesting and tasty experience. Our hosts made us feel welcome and like part of their family. This was one of the best nights of our time in Florence. Plus we can now take our new skills home and bring a bit of Italy back to England. We would have paid double what it cost as it was such an amazing experience and cost so little for what we got. Where do i begin? Monia and Emanuelle welcomed us into their home with hugs and gave us the best evening of our trip to Italy. Their home is beautiful, cosy, and we made pasta from scratch on a wonderful setup in the living room. We shared some prosecco, some red wine, and some grappa throughout an evening of laughs and incredible food. She made us 3 different bruschetta style starters whilst her husband entertained us before moving onto the cooking course, and we then finished with a dessert that was as beautiful as the rest. Once all was done they called us a taxi and took us to the restaurant downstairs where we were greeted with one last drink to finish the evening. I can not thank them enough, i can not wait to go back and visit, and recommend this experience to anyone looking to do it. Chris & Izzy
