ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

This dining experience is dedicated to Puccini and the menu is dedicated to his opera, Madame Butterfly.
My name is Silvio, my immense passion for cooking and for opera music, have been of inspiration for the creation of my menus. I have spent a lifetime working as a chef, now I cook for pure pleasure and to create, with my family, these special events. Dinner & the music of Puccini, delicious dishes accompanied by the beautiful music of Puccini played on the grand piano by my two youngest children, composers and pianists.
Have you always dreamt of singing an aria accompanied on piano? Well you are welcome to do so. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

ABOUT THEMENU

Accompanied by the music of Puccini, aperitivo in the garden (weather permitting).
Here is what I will prepare for you.
Starters/antipasto:
Sfogliatella con totanelli in crema di patate ( puff pastry tartlets with totani fish in creamy potato sauce)
Filetti di triglia in gremolata di pane (mullet fillet with crispy bread and fresh tomato coating)
First course:
Strozzapreti fatti in casa alla marinara bianca (home made strozzapreti pasta with white fish sauce)
Crespelle di pesce spada gratinate (Crepes with sword fish)
Main Course:
Filetto di branzino alla soleada (Bass fillet with fresh tomato sauce and basil)
Contorni di stagione (seasonal salad and vegetable side dishes)

Dolci della casa and cantucci with vin santo (Home made dessert with cantucci & vin santo)
Caffè /espresso coffee

ABOUT THELOCATION

We could say it was destiny we should organise these events, a combination of the art of cuisine and art of music. Our home with its large dining room and spacious garden is very close to the villa, lake and places which had inspired Maestro Giacomo Puccini’s infinite music. In the dining room, music from the grand piano will accompany your meal.
We are just 5 minutes from Puccini’s villa (today a museum open to the public), the open air opera theatre Gran Teatro Puccini, looking onto Lake Massaciuccoli. We are also just 5 minutes from the beach. The leaning tower of Pisa is just 15 minutes by car.
