I am a Foodie and Sommelier, studied History at University of Rome. Professional in Tourism since
We learned so much on this wonderful walking food tour in Rome and the Jewish Getto! Valarie was an informative and attentive guide. This was a lovely way to learn about the food culture of Romans as well as many other helpful tidbits provide by our lovely guide. Its a small group tour so you have the benefit of getting to know others on the tour as well. Enjoyed sampling many different items along the way!
Was so happy with this tour!! We tried so many amazing things....gelato, pasta, fried artichokes, buffalo mozzarella and the list goes on. Our guide Valeria was so knowledgeable about food and the city of Rome. I assumed we would only learn about food but we also learned a lot about the history of the city and the areas we went to, Campo de Fiori, the Jewish Ghetto etc. What a wonderful tour, I am happy to have gotten the chance to do this, would definitely recommend to everyone!
So professional- we were a "large group" so were split into 2 groups of 8- WOW some tours 16 are considered SMALL!! An increadable morning walking through Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto while tasting rtasting and tasting some more ! Highly recommended!
It was an outstanding experience. Our small group started at a meat and cheese shop, then moved on to a delicious pizza shop, then a restaurant in the Jewish Ghetto, on to a pasta shop and finally, some gelato. I was in Rome for work, but felt very comfortable as a single - lots of couples and groups, but the small nature of the tour made it fun. Georgia was a great guide.
I recommend the tour for all food lovers. I really liked the history explanations behind the food dish. Daniela was enlightening and we can tell that she loves her job and people. We learned some new things that we didn't know about food and food history.well done Daniela. Hope to see you in israel and recommend to you places to eat.
I am so sad that I have not written a review for this tour yet. This tour made my entire 2 week stay in Rome worth it. Do not get me wrong, Rome is an amazing and magical place, but this tour made it so much more. Daniela was the most wonderful guide as we toured the streets of Rome. We didn't just taste food, we learned about the history of the food and the history of Rome itself. so many tidbits of info as we walked constantly stopping to taste a new and exciting food. From pizza to Pasta, Gelato to Buffalo Mozzarella and everything in between. I have recommended this tour to ALL my friends and family and will continue to do so. I will return to Rome again in the future and I will take this tour ANYTIME I am there.
