I spent almost a year living with Carmelo in Milan. We made and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner together. Besides being a fantastic host and friend, Carmelo as a fun individual, entertainer but also a guy you can count on and trust. Being friends with him is like being in the Mafia, but without all the danger. He likes to discuss a wide range of topics and has interesting views spanning wider than most. If you're looking for a laid-back genuine Italian meal, Carmelo is your #1 choice. Buon appetito!

I have known and eaten with Carmelo for the last 15 years and cannot say that I have ever been disappointed with the quality of he food he prepares as well as the experience around it. Carmelo has a passion for quality of life, good food, good music and makes his guests comfortable and at home from the very start. He is fun to be around, has a big open mind and wicked sense of humour! AAA

I arrived in Milan not knowing what to expect, this was my first time in Italy. I met Carmelo on my search for an apartment. I came over for lunch and we chatted for hours, I proceeded to also stay for dinner and quickly realised I wanted to stay at his place. He is a very knowledgeable person when it comes to food. He understands quality ingredients, balancing flavours and more than anything providing a great experience. One thing led to another and I visited his hometown in Puglia for some of the most amazing food I have had on travels. If anyone gets the chance to dine with Carmelo, I would not pass up on that opportunity. A great man and chef. I look forward to sharing many more meals in the future with him.

Carmelo is a wonderful cook, a gourmand and a smart and interesting conversationalist. He takes his time, but he is a master of Italian delicacies, Lombard, Tuscan or Apulian, as comfident with pasta alla cime di rapa as with entrecote aka tbone steak. He will be careful i his wine pairings, and a curious ear will learn much about the food and the wine, but also culture and society. Warmest possible recommendation!
