This is a 3-hour long experience, beginning with a 1-hour tour of a local wet market in Apleichau Main Street to pick up the necessary ingredients, followed by a 1.5 hour cooking demonstration and ending with a sit-down meal to enjoy our creations.
My guests will be picked up at the bus stop near my home in beautiful Apleichau whereby we will go to a wet market to see all the fresh foods that Hong Kong has to offer. I will be glad to answer any questions or translate for my guests if they have any questions to ask of the vendors. Then on the way up to my home to start the cooking demonstration, we will walk along a promenade looking across to Aberdeen. Upon arrival, guests can just sit and relax or get involved. Finally, meal time!
I live on a beautiful peninsula called Apleichau, located on the south side of Hong Kong. Within walking distance, we have 3 promenades where you can see fishing boats and look across to Aberdeen and Lamma Island. Here, we have a very well-stocked yet quite undiscovered seafood market that locals visit to buy the freshest seafood. The area is very accessible by bus. The MTR is being built and is ready by the end of 2016, thus providing even more convenience soon. There are daily ferries taking guests to Lamma Island and Cheung Chau and a quick bus ride to Ocean Park or Aberdeen as well. Before or after my cooking tour, guests can also make a trip to Stanley or Repulse Bay to spend some time at the beach and soak up the sun!

Edith is an amazing cook, from small bites, appetizers, mains to deserts, all are exquisite. Her generosity is reflected in her food, her way to share her recipes and skills. I never have enough of enjoying her treats.
I attended several dîner and apéro dinatoire with some few friends at Edith's home restaurant....and i can say on my name and on the name of my friends that weren't never desapointed !! Food taste really good, Edith choose the more fresh ingrédients to prépare the meals and it's obious that it's made with love. Also portions are more than substancial, you offtenly never leave the place without your doggy bag (so happy to bring yumi food at home). Last but not least, Edit knows how to receiv guests and always make à warm welcoming and put you at ease. If you book a dîner at Edith place, you'll be certain to pass à great and Nice evening, with excellent food, friendly and Nice ambiance. For my part, i go at Edith's place each time i travel in HK (i'm from Paris) and it's always with pleasure that i See her. I would like to recommand her Home restaurant as a ''table incontournable'' to try at HK!
I used to be a flatmate with Edith years ago, and fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of her home cooking (from Asian to Western). She cooks amazingly, and of course her dishes are all very yummy. It is very nourishing and comforting to enjoy some simple and tasty meal with balanced nutritions at home with her wonderful company. If you haven't tried her cooking yet, you should definitely give her a call soon!!!
I've attended few classes and learned a lot! When she is cooking the process seems so easy and fun. And the food is super delicious!!! She is a true expert who knows everything about the food. Best recipes, best matching ingredients, even a trivial dish is getting a new interesting taste. I really appreciate this opportunity to learn from Edith and will definitely recommend everyone to come and try!!
Love love love Edith's cooking classes! I haven't taken one myself personally but have been there as she taught classes of 4-6 year olds which included my daughter and her group of friends. I loved seeing Edith open up the many different possibilities with food among the little ones. The introductions to handling "yucky" foods (in the eyes of 5 year olds) and fancy garnish have been priceless. Mine in particular went from an adamant hater of tomatoes to one who thinks maybe they're not all that bad, thanks to Edith's explanations and of course talented inclusion of tomatoes in her delicious recipes. Everyone has such a great time and who doesn't love leaving with a delicious meal in hand (if not already devoured at the table)? Can't wait for my turn now!
