ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

Tuscany and Chianti are part of my life! My parents were born here and they were farmers so I grew up amidst this smells and flavors. In my life I am an actor in theater and thanks to my work I have traveled a lot and tasted dishes in many parts of the world, but when I return home the simple and genuine flavors of our land awaken my soul.
I live with my partner Mirella in this beautiful house in Chianti, we produce red and white wine and extra virgin olive oil. My parents and my aunt live in the neighboring house. My mother and my aunt are my great teachers of many recipes that I have learned over time.
Now it's your turn to learn some traditional recipes of Tuscan cuisine, starting from first quality organic ingredients and short supply chain.
The four hours we spend together will be like a journey through time ...
We will start with a short walk through the olive trees and the vineyards, after a short break, where we will make a bruschetta with our oil and fresh tomato together with a glass of white or red wine. In this time I will begin to explain the dishes that we are going to prepare together.
This is a course that involves the preparation of three dishes: a first course, a second course and a dessert.
This includes making fresh handmade pasta and relative sauces.
At the end of the preparations we will taste together the fruit of our work.
Of course wine is included.

ABOUT THEMENU

You can choose a dish from each group of the following menu:

FIRST COURSE
1) Pappa al pomodoro - traditional Tuscan soup based on bread and tomato, simple and taste.
2) Tagliatelle al sugo di baccalà - hand made pasta with sauce of codfish and tomato. This fish is very used in traditional Tuscan cuisine.
3) Ravioli di patate burro e salvia - hand made ravioli stuffed with potatoes and sausage flavored with butter and sage. This is also an ancient Tuscan dish.

SECOND COURSE
1) Pollo alla cacciatora - chicken pieces cooked with tomatoes, olives and various other ingredients, this is a traditional farmers's plate.
2) Spezzatino con le patate - beef stew with potatoes, very taste plate, also from farmer's tradition (unlike us farmers had a lot of potatoes and a little meat).
3) Barbeque misto - a mixed barbecue made with different types of meat: chicken, beef, pork. In particular we will prepare different types of skewers flavored with various spices.

DESSERT
1) Torta di mele - Florentine apple pie, in Tuscany we produce some types of apples that were used in the tradition to prepare this tasty cake.
2) Tiramisu - this dessert is so good and known that it does not need presentation.

ABOUT THELOCATION

Your authentic Italian experience will take place in a beautiful farmhouse in the Chianti region with a splendid view over Val di Pesa and the hills towards Florence. As you can see from the photos you will be surrounded by green olive trees and vineyards.
