ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

Are you looking for a vegan cooking lesson in Rome? How about taking a cooking lesson with locals in Rome? Join me for a hands-on cooking lesson in Rome, near the Vatican City, and experience a variety of delicious authentic Italian dishes.

Being a professional Chef and a Sommelier, you can expect to all the tips and tricks which will help you make this dish for your friends and family even after you go home! I'd love to pass on my knowledge of Italian cuisine to you as we cook the most important Italian dish of all: Pasta.
We will cook with fresh seasonal ingredients and enjoy the meal together once we're done cooking, of course with the best wines chosen by me, and perhaps some home-made limoncello!
Join me and my girlfriend - we are both Romans and we like cooking, wine, films and rugby. During our meal together, you can be sure to have a good, relaxing time, full of pleasant conversations. We like to talk about various subjects including food, films and readings. My girlfriend is in fact a writer and a film critic!
Besides cooking the best Italian dishes, we love meeting new people from around the world!

ABOUT THEMENU

We will prepare the 2 most important kinds of home made pasta in a vegan way: fettuccine and ravioli.
Fettuccine with sautéed zucchini.
Ravioli with a classic Italian tomato sauce with carrots, onions, celery and garlic. The filling will be spinach and tofu.

Timing: Morning, Afternoon or Evening, depending on availability. I will do my best to accommodate your Roman schedule!

ABOUT THELOCATION

I live a short distance away from the Vatican City and St.Peter's, in a beautiful neighbourhood. The way to my apartment is filled with cobblestoned pathways and beautiful old houses. As it is also on a hill, you can catch a glimpse of the Roman skyline, over the Vatican City.

Can't recommend this experience highly enough! Alessandro is both an amazing chef and an incredibly hospitable host. He expertly lead us through making two kinds of vegan pasta and two kinds of vegan pasta sauce - both of which were absolutely delicious! All the while sharing tips and tricks for how to replicate the results at home. With insights about quality ingredients, food storage and how to maximise the use of vegetable ingredients, everything was thoughtful and made the experience truly unique and memorable. Alessandro and his girlfriend live in a wonderful part of Rome, and with some helpful directions from him we took a short stroll to St Peter's Basilica after dinner which looks truly amazing in the evenings, and made the experience even more special. If you're thinking of booking a cooking experience with Alessandro - do it!

We had a group of five for Alessandro’s vegan pasta cooking class. This class was one of the first things we did when in Rome and it remained a highlight of the trip! It was such fun cooking, learning, and of course eating. Alessandro is an excellent teacher and has true passion for cooking. We enjoyed talking with him about the food, the city, and everything in between. Highly recommend this experience!

Although i was the only guest and i was late because i got lost on the way, he made me feel so welcomed and relaxed. He carefully guided me through the class with his deep understanding about food. We had dinner with wine and homemade lemoncello, and had a great conversation about career, passion and like. After the dinner is finished, he booked a taxi for me so i can safely go back to my house. Thank you for this experience.

Alessandro was a gracious and knowledgeable host. It is clear immediately when cooking with him that he puts a lot of thought and preparation into each session in order to ensure that you have the best experience possible. He is very patient and willing to answer any question you may have about the process. I learned so much from him in a short amount of time and appreciated that he took the time to ensure that I understood each step so that I could replicate the recipe at home. Also, Alessandro gives excellent tips regarding the best spots in Rome and hidden treasures in Italy. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough!

Alessandro was a spectacular host! My friends and I participated in the vegan pasta making class and not only was the food delicious, we learned so much about the process. Alessandro was careful to explain everything thoroughly and even provided the recipes we could take with us to prepare the dishes at home. Alessandro was very personable and a great conversationalist. It was a joy to learn about his family, his career path, and tidbits about Italy in general. He even emailed us with many other suggestions and recommendations for activities, restaurants and areas to explore. We had an amazing experience, topped off by a shot of homemade limoncello! The only suggestion I would make, is to perhaps offer a light appetizer during the cooking. Highly recommend! Thanks so much Alessandro!

We had a lovely evening at alessandro’s home restaurant. Food was great and was paired with wines which were expertly explained by our host. We were joined by a couple from USA who we hit it off with straight away. Thoroughly enjoyable evening I would recommend this to anyone considering it. The evening ended with a taste of allesandros home made lemoncelli which was delicious.
