Maestro Martino (1464)
We learn from one of the masters of Renaissance cooking, using authentic ingredients to recreate the dishes eaten by popes at the turn of the sixteenth century. The spicy flavours and aromas of the nobleman's kitchen take us back to a time of major change in Italian cuisine, when eating became more of an art form than simply a way of satisfying one's hunger.
I have prepared a three course menu with some of the best typical foods in Rome that you must definitely try! Learn to cook these delicious Italian dishes and impress your friends back home with your new cooking skills! Participating in a cooking class is also a great way to immerse in the culture and learn more about our rich culinary traditions, as well as local Roman customs. If you are looking for the best local restaurants in Rome, look no further and join our cooking class!
I'm in the Garbatella area of Rome, very close to Terme di Caracalla and the Ancient Appian way.
I started cooking lessons in my flat 5 years ago. The experience of teaching and hosting new people
Sandra provided a beautiful, informational, and interesting experience! Her deep knowledge of Italian customs, history, Tuscan cuisine, and cooking experience all culminate in an awesome cooking class. We cooked/prepped a 3-course meal and it tasted great. Sandra did a great job explaining subtleties of Italian cooking and its ingredients for our pasta dish while explaining the most interesting points. I will recommend her to anyone in Rome.
Loved this so much! Sandra was a really great teacher - we made delicious food and we all sat down around the dinner table and enjoyed our meals with a bottle of wine. She also booked a taxi for us to get back home, which was very nice of her. This is a great way to make friends, too!
Sandra's cookery class was one of the best experiences we had whilst staying in Rome! Such delicious food and great knowledge learnt!! Sandra is so hospitable and welcoming. Now love making homemade pasta and have learnt cookery skills for life. Would reccommend to any foodie!
We had so much fun cooking at Sandra's house! She is interesting and fun to talk to, and very knowledgable on both her ingredients and food. She really made cooking fun, not to mention our meal turned out AMAZING! I would recommend this experience to anyone going to Rome. Thank you Sandra for the wonderful evening!
Our best evening during our trip in Rome! Sandra is really an expert in teaching, cooking and being an amazing host! This is the perfect way to learn AND taste some proper Italian local cuisine! She made us feel really welcome in her home. We made an amazing starter, artichoke, delicious pasta alla amatriciana, and finally tiramusi! For all the dishes, fresh local food & ingredients were used!
