We spent three weeks in Italy... and we all agreed that our dinner with Elena and family was one of the highlights of the trip. They were fun, personable, engaging, and full of ideas about what we should do and see on our trip. We enjoyed exchanging stories about life in the U.S. vs. life in Italy with such an interesting group. And of course, the food was also excellent. I think we spent the rest of our trip trying to find a tiramisu that compared to what Elena served us. It really was one of those nights when you felt like you had made some new friends.

An unforgetable evening with old friends in the home of newly made friends; Elena, Francesco and Sofia made us so at home in addition to serving a typical Italian family dinner with aperitif, antipasti, wines and two types of primi - lasagne bolognese and lasagne vegetariane - with a dessert finale of pears stewed in wine and coated in chocolate; caffè followed thereafter naturally.

I'm not one good with words, but if I had to describe the evening I would have to label it with "awesome". It was a wonderful evening - the food was most delicious. We've been served the best panna cotta I've tasted in my life! Not to mention the tasty selection of starters or the incredible lasagna at a lovely set table in the cozy patio. But what made it even more special, was the warm welcome we experienced by Elena, her family and her friends. It was rather being invited to a friend's home than anything else. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

If you'd like to arrive as guests and leave as friends - just spend an evening together with Elena and her family. They made us feel so very welcome, and we just talked about everything under the sun. Thus, enjoying us throughly, the meal took a bit of a back seat. But, of course, it was delicious - everything home-made and very tasty!! We're coming back, definitely!!
