ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

It is impossible to fit the amazing Peruvian biodiversity in one menu. We have make sure to include ingredients and typical preparations from across the country for you to get a great overview of Peruvian cuisine.

It's a big menu, so come hungry. We are very excited to take you in a journey of flavours across Perú.

ABOUT THEMENU

The Menu has a vegetarian version and can be adapted to vegan, any allergy and your take on the spice levels. Our kitchen is completely gluten free, does not use sugar, GMO, MSG, or any refined or processed product. So you can enjoy healthy food in Lima!

All is made from scratch, the same day, with love, with the time needed and with the best local ingredients you can find. We only use local ingredients, almost all of them organic including meats and dairy, and source directly from farmers/ producers we have personally selected.

MENÚ:

1. Welcome: Chilcano
Peruvian drink based on Pisco, normally using ginger ale, but, as we don't use sodas we make our own ginger-raw sugar mix.

2. Warm up: Piqueo (appetizer)
- A selection of the 4000 types of potatoes we got in Perú with three different sauces:
Huancaina (typical sauce from the south)
Ocopa (made of Huacatay, native herb)
Anticuchera (based on Panka chilly, is used for the anticuchos you see on the streets)

3. Starters:
- Solterito (typical from Arequipa based on "Habas", green beans)
- Ceviche apaltado (fish or veg: asparagus and mushrooms)
- Tamalito Verde (a tamal made from corn and cilantro)

4. Mains:
We can't decide so we are giving you a "Thali", three preparations and of course rice. In Perú you eat everything with Rice and potatoes.
- Ají de Gallina (chicken or artichoke stew based on yellow chilly)
- Lomo Saltado (unquestionable evidence of the Chinese influence in Peruvian food. We use aubergine for Veg options)
- Ajiaco de Pallares (Lima beans stew)

5. Dessert:
- Fruit tasting plate (native fruits from the three regions)
- Chocolate testing plate (3 types of Cacao)

6. To close:
- Muña / Coca tea or
- coffee or
- home infused pisco shot

The food will be accompanied by Chicha Morada (a local refreshment made of purple corn and fruit) and water. We have artisanal local beer, cider and Argentinian wine available and we have a pairing option. Ask us if you are interested.

ABOUT THELOCATION

We operate on the back patio of a responsible consumption center, the center will be closed so we'll come let you in and we'll cross a cafe, a health store and a second hand clothing store to get to our space.

Barranco is the most beautiful neighborhood in Lima (we think so). Initially a fisherman's quarter, it has become a beach town for upperclass Limeños. It mixes glamour with an old-nostalgic-slow pace feeling in the air. Now a days Barranco is trendy, some say it is the hippest neighbourhood in Lima. It houses many artists and is full of cafés, art galleries, old time stores and a beautiful sea view promenade.

If you are traveling in Peru, Barranco should be on your must-visit list for things to do in Lima.
