We are Federica e Stefano. We met in Hanoi - Vietnam 8 years ago, while we were doing work experience there. We are from the north of Italy, Milan and Belluno. We have been living in Rome since 2008 and now we consider it our hometown. We love our amazing rooftop terrace and every day we try to make it cozy, flowery and always green. We have named it "The Joyful Roof Garden", because we believe it is a piece of paradise, our mesmerized world. We would like you to join us and enjoy it too, having fun and relaxing, while experiencing Italian hospitality. We enjoy cooking and for Stefano it is really an overwhelming passion, we have experimented with different recipes from the Italian tradition but for us the secret of good cooking, in the end, lies in the simplicity and quality of the ingredients. I (Federica) love chatting and I like meeting people from all over the world and getting to know different cultures. In my opinion, it is a challenge and an asset at the same time. It helps you to keep your eyes and mind opened; reminding you that variety and diversity are the spice of life! I have always travelled a lot, first for study then for work. I also lived abroad for a while (Paris, Melbourne and Yeosu – South Korea). Stefano is placid and reflective, he is a traveler in his own soul, he loves wandering off to unexplored spots, he looks for the unbeaten path and always want to delve deeper into the atmosphere of a place. His motto is “when in doubt, pedal it out” and he has made his job out of it. He has a bike tour company and design itineraries to explore and experience Rome, as an open air museum. In short, we two are different sides of the same coin; we really enjoy having guest and making them feel at home!
