I'm a true-blue Singaporean. To me, people should eat to live and live to eat - for health, for enjoyment and for indulgence! When I was a student, I studied food science and learnt about preservatives in food. Ever since, when I hosted dinner gatherings for my friends, I made a point to use ingredients that are healthy and free from preservatives. My favourite kind of food is any type of soup. It can be French Onion soup to Chinese herbal soup. As a Singaporean, I enjoy eating Satay with chunky peanut sauce and visiting the Old Airport Road Food Center, which has a good array of local fare that many locals enjoy. During my free time, I cook, travel and bake. My speciality is decorative cakes which includes birthday cakes with hand crafted fondant figurines. My husband does the moulding while I'd bake the cake.
