Come and join your enthusiastic Peranakan host, Elizabeth, who has more than 30 years of cooking experience. You will get hands-on experience making the nostalgic Nyonya Laksa and the delicious Kueh Dadar.
Head to Elizabeth's spacious house to begin cutting and grinding the spices and ingredients that make the Nyonya Laksa famously flavourful.
While the broth is simmering on the stove, move on to prepare the old school Kueh Dadar, a traditional Peranakan dessert.
You will extract the juice from the Pandan leaves, a key ingredient for the pleasantly delightful sweet treat. No shortcuts by using Pandan essence in this class!
You will then sit down and enjoy your very own creations while Elizabeth shares more about her unique culture. As a Peranakan, Elizabeth is the best person to learn first-hand knowledge about the Peranakan culture.
