I’m Miyuki, a bilingual Japanese, teaching Japanese home cooking at my home in Tokyo since 2014. My love of culinary arts began at the age of 9 when I was living in the United States. By the time I was 12 years old, I was cooking a full course meal for my family. I continued baking and cooking--my favorite hobby--while travelling abroad to nearly 40 countries as a Sales and Marketing Manager for a global electronics company. After leaving my career to accompany my husband to England, I decided pursue what I love to do after returning to Japan- cooking and meeting people! Located near central Tokyo, my classes are casual, simple, and oishii (delicious), using seasonal ingredients that can be found in Japanese local supermarkets and can also be recreated where you come from. In my class you’ll not only learn how to cook Japanese food, you’ll also acquire basic knowledge about Japanese cuisine and its ingredients. I'm also a certified nerikiri art instructor and do one day class on nerikiri wagashi as well as diploma courses.

Miyuki’s Wagashi and Mochi lesson was superb. Very easy to follow, really insightful and very rewarding when we all produced beautiful Japanese sweets by the end. I can highly recommend this class
