Back in June my husband, and I did the "Afternoon Gourmet & Tapas Walking Tour in Barcelona's Historic Center". Our two guides were fabulous, and we had a fantastic time. We actually ate at both stops on the tour more than once because we absolutely loved them. They also gave us print out maps with the locations we visited, and more dining suggestions which we put to good use. If we did not take this tour we would have been totally clueless on how to order tapas!
Our guide took us for a really informative tour around the historical area of Barcelona. She was really knowledgeable about this history, and able to answer all of our questions in excellent English. As part of the tour we visited a market, learning about food in Spain, and tasting as we went. We had breakfast (with cava) and an interesting explaination of Cava, and tried a couple of Catalan breakfast specialties before setting off on a walking tour taking in oil tasting and a wonderful cake shop for bonbons. The tour ended at a wine bar for simple tapas and wine tasting and a chance to eat some of the produce bought in the market. This would usually not be my choice of tour, but It was a gift and genuinely was one of the best things I did in Barcelona
Signed up for this tour without expectations. It turned out to be a real winner. We visiret different tapas places where we got various delicious tapas and wine. We also got to know the story behind the food and wine. Our guides were fantastic and we had a really good time and alot of laughs! It was simply a great evening!
My boyfriend and I were gifted this tour as a graduation present, and we had the BEST time!! Our guide Carolina was amazing, so sweet and easy to talk to, and she made the entire tour such a pleasant experience. We loved the food and wine, and would definitely do the tour again. Our only regret is not doing the tour on the first day of our time in Barcelona, because it showed us so many interesting areas of the city we would have loved to know about earlier and return to!
