With the guidance of Chef Federico, you’ll make three types of pasta alongside other dishes to produce a 6-course meal (antipasto, 3 pastas, main course, dessert). Finish with a glass of Italian wine and tuck in to your meal with the rest of your group.

ABOUT THEMENU

Meet Chef Federico in Rome’s Piazza Farnese in the morning, and take a stroll to Campo de' Fiori. The bustling piazza is home to a food market, where all the ingredients for your cooking class can be found. Help your chef choose the right vegetables, and select perfect cuts of meat and cheese.

From the food market, you’ll head to a spacious studio in the heart of Trastevere and step inside to cook. Learn how to make the dough from scratch, and roll out three different types of pasta: stuffed, long, and a short-medium variety. Create three sauces to dress the pasta, as well as a secondo piatto, or second dish, of succulent meat with vegetables. Finish your creations with a dessert.

Finally, sit down to eat your 6-course meal with your chef and group, and toast your achievements with a glass of Italian wine.

Take the recipes home with you when the experience ends.

ABOUT THELOCATION

The day begins at Piazza Farnese, in front of the French Embassy, where you'll meet your chef.

You will then proceed to Campo de' Fiori's historic market to pick up fresh, seasonal ingredients for your meal.

Then, with shopping bags in tow, you and your chef will head to a private studio in the charming neighborhood of Trastevere. Your cooking class will take place here, as will the dinner that follows.

I never really write reviews but I really want to share my wonderful experience learning how to cook Roman cuisine with Chef Alessandri. With Chef Alessandri you not only get to learn the 'why and how' of cooking six Italian courses (!) but you also spend time at the market selecting the ingredients and deciding together what to cook. Chef Alessandri is a real chef and shared his knowledge of making fresh pasta, pasta sources, seafood and meat dishes, with a few modern twists, as well as showing us how to beautifully plate and present the food. We had a LOT of fun and a few wines... He is patient and has a great sense of humor. I'd recommended this experience to anyone who really loves food and is looking for a whole day immersive Roman cooking experience.
