Somos una alma de Senegal y una alma de Barcelona. Núria es la local, la anfitriona, una mariposa social. Su compañero, Pape, es un joven y moderno cocinero senegalés que ha heredado generaciones de sabiduría culinaria.

La filosofía de Pape es que para cocinar comida con alma se necesita paz y tiempo. Vais a probar la exquisitez en todos sus platos que destacan por su sublime y rico sabor.

We are a soul from Senegal and a soul from Catalonia. Pape is the modern Senegalese chef who has inherited generations of culinary wisdom from his homeland. Núria is the local, our host, and the social butterfly.

We live, cook, and share Senegalese soul food for all who need and want something new and soulful in their lives.

The Senegalese philosophy is that it takes peace and time to cook food with soul. You will taste the combination of all these elements in the food we share with you. The delicatessen is in all of Pape’s dishes that standalone for their richness and goodness.

Pape Soul Kitchen is about great food that connects you to place, to people, and to the world. In this way, we bring culture together to share a story, an experience, and a delicious menu with you.

Tu escoges tu propia experiencia gastronómica escogiendo el plato principal que quereis comer:

THIEBOU DIEUNE
Es el plato nacional de Senegal: pescado con relleno picante de verduras y pasta de tomate, especies y chile, servido con arroz roto.

THIEBOU YAPP
Es una variación del plato nacional de Senegal con cordero o ternera, también servido con arroz roto.

THIEBOU GUINARE
Es otra variación del plato nacional de Senegal y es una mezcla de verduras condimentadas y pollo servido con arroz roto.

MAFE
Es un guisado de ternera cocinado a fuego lento con salsa de manteca de cacahuete y verduras como la yuca, el bonito, la patata, la zanahoria y la calabaza.

MAFE VEGETARIANO
Versión vegetarian del tradicional mafe con salsa de manteca de cacahuete y verduras como la yuca, el bonito, la patata, la zanahoria y la calabaza.

YASSA
Es un plato ligeramente picante con pollo o pescado marinado con zumo de limón y mostaza, con abundante cebolla y otras verduras.

*Para acompañar la comida, servimos zumo de bissap (te de flor de hibisco), vino (tinto o blanco) y agua.

**Para terminar la comida, servimos thiacry, unos postres típicos del África del este: cous cous de mijo con iogur, manzana, plátano y coco rallado.

THIEBOU DIEUNE
The national dish of Senegal, a spicy stuffed fish simmered with vegetables in tomato paste, spices and habanero pepper, and served over broken rice.

THIEBOU YAPP
A variation on Senegal’s national dish with seasoned lamb or beef and broken rice.

THIEBOU GUINARE
A variation on Senegal’s national dish with a medley of seasoned vegetables and chicken over broken rice.

MAFE
A stew of beef simmered in peanut butter sauce with vegetables such as yuca, yams, potatoes, carrots and pumpkin.

VEGETARIAN MAFE
Vegetarian version of the tradicional mafe with peanut butter sauce with vegetables such as yuca, yams, potatoes, carrots and pumpkin.

YASSA
A mildly spiced dish of chicken or fish marinated in lemon juice and mustard, with abundant onion and other vegetables.

*As drinks, we offer bissap juice (hibiscus flower tea), red or white wine and water.

**As dessert, we offer thiacry, a sweet millet couscous dish eaten in West Africa mixed with yogurt, apple, banana and coconut.

I had a wonderful Senegalese dinner at Nuria and Pape's with my son and his amazing friends. It was such a warm and friendly atmosphere, and a pleasure to be in their home. The meal was delicious with a very interesting complexity of flavors-very satisfying. The hibiscus infused mint drink was unique, and very refreshing. Thank you for this great evening in Barcelona.

WOW! Amazing experience that I cannot recommend more. Pape and Nuria are great cooks and hosts and they made us feel very welcome. The apartment is small but it felt more intimate and special to share food and stories in their place. Bravo!

I do not recommend this experience for those who are not looking for something deeper than idle passing of time. This is truly a soulful experience.
