An animal-free feast, this completely homemade dinner has a focus on local seasonal produce, quality ingredients and explores many wonderful tastes and textures.
Over 4 courses, we showcase our favourite Roman recipes and look forward to serving our food with discussions of cooking techniques and philosophy.
We welcome you into our home in Monti, Rome's ancient centre, and serve you in a wonderfully atmospheric dining room with unrivalled views of the Colosseum and forum.
Good for your tastebuds, good for your health and good for the environment.
View the Colosseum from our dining table and we'll also take you on the rooftop terrace for the best selfie in Rome.
We're in the Monti neighbourhood, which surprisingly has many undiscovered gems we'll happily share with you.
You can very easily reach us with a metro station one minute away and taxis and busses always available.
Favourite part of Rome thus far! The food was absolutely amazing. The Spaghetti cacio e pepe was the best pasta we've had in Rome, perhaps the best pasta we've ever had, period. Excluding the food, it was a lovely evening with beautiful people and a spectacular view. Would recommend to anyone (vegan and not vegan alike) and will definitely be coming back if we return to Rome.
When we left the apartment of Francesca and Ryan we were still excited about the evening! It was the first experience that we had made with bonappetour and I am afraid to try another host because it definitely can't getting better! The 4 served courses were exquisite. All ingredients were picked purposefully and the dishes were cooked with a lot of passion for the vegan cuisine. Thank you so much for this unique experience and your lovely hospitality! We have expect a great evening but you, Sumeet and Nash as well made it to an absolutely blast. Totally recommendable and when we are back in Rome we definitely will come back. Lovely greetings from Hamburg
Exquisite! Great way to enjoy a delicious, multi-course, traditional Roman meal, while talking about anything and everything, and meeting new people - all while being made to feel at home by two very welcoming hosts (and the cutest Maltese pup). Experiencing Francesca and Ryan’s cooking, company and hospitality will be on the top of my list, when I visit Rome the next time. Sincerely, Sumeet.
We booked this experience well in advance & were looking forward to it. The morning of our dinner, Ryan sent an email asking if we could change the date as he had a toothache. If we couldn't, he said, then the dinner would go as planned. Of course, we weren't able to change the date because we were leaving Rome the next day. We went out sightseeing all day & were so excited to have our vegan experience with Ryan & Francesca. When we arrived back to the hotel at 5:30p, there was another email from Ryan cancelling the dinner because of an infection on his tooth. While I'm sympathetic to any ailment, I feel there should have been some kind of contingency plan. People are coming from all over the world & make specific plans (It's not like we'll be back in Rome anytime soon) & to cancel something hours before (for something as minor as a toothache) really is unacceptable. Disappointment doesn't even begin to describe our feelings.
Francesca and Ryan gave us a beautiful and memorable experience last night. The dinner party was exceptional and way better than we ever could have imagined. They're warm and welcoming hosts and great conversationalists. Their apartment with a view of the Colosseum is out of this world and the vegan food they create together is ultra creative and delicious. This was our first experience with Bon Appetour, and if other hosts are like Francesca and Ryan, we will surely use this service again to connect and dine with new, interesting and inspiring people like them.
This was my first experience with BonAppetour, but Francesca and Ryan definitely set the bar. I was welcomed very warmly into their cosy home, located in the heart of Trastevere. Although I'm not vegan myself, I do enjoy eating vegetarian (mostly) and vegan (occasionaly). The dishes they prepared were not only bursting with flavour, but also beautifully presented. They even made an extra effort to make every course gluten free, especially for me. It's hard to choose my favourite dish of the night. I was crazy about the homemade crackers and I thought their own take on farinata, made into a lasagna was a winner. Between all this lovely food, conversation was very easy and touched topics ranging from healthy eating, history, poor service in cake shops, movies, yoga, mummies (yes mummies) etc. Time flew by and I enjoyed every single minute of it. I wish them the very best and I'm sure their passion for healthy food/living will take them far!
I had the pleasure of dining with Francesca and Ryan for a whole week when I visited them last September and it really opened my eyes to vegan and vegetarian cuisine. Like a lot of people I have, out of habit, been a big meat and dairy consumer for most of my life but I have started to examine this in recent months and Francesca and Ryan helped me do this not only by showing me delicious alternatives to animal based foods, but also by sharing the wealth of knowledge and nutritional information they have. They were happy to answer all of my questions in a really helpful and positive way. I now eat significantly less animal products and feel much happier for it. In such a meat and cheese eating culture as Italy it is hard to find good vegan and vegetarian food, so the fact that Francesca and Ryan are sharing their home, their food and their passion with other people is a great thing.
I'm not a vegan but Francesca's food is always so delicious and it inspires me to make changes in my own eating habits. Francesca and Ryan are very knowledgable about food and nutrition and it's interesting to learn about these things from them. They have really opened mine and my partners eyes to the huge health benefits from being vegan, and made us realise that we can still get all the things we want in our daily diets from the vegan lifestyle. I can not wait to try more lovely dishes that francesca has to make.
