ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

We start at the Rijksmuseum at 11 o'clock. We walk through the city centre. We pass the canals, the flower market, the red light district, damsquare and some architecture buildings from the past 20 years. In between we can go for a coffee. I will show you a shop where they sell only Dutch design and I will show you where the locals go to the pub and which pub was already there in Rembrandt's time!! At 13 o'clock we arrive at the locals studio for having a fresh typical Dutch lunch including beverages. The afternoon ends at 2 p.m. NOTE: If you want to have exact detailed information about the past of Amsterdam with specific dates and names ... than I am not the guide for you. This walking tour is more a 'feel good walking tour' just to show you the city in a relaxed way and having a typical Dutch lunch with slices of bread, just how we eat during the day!

If you like to do more things with me ...we can do pub tours, high end gallery tours, shopping tours, cycling tours, I can show you the country (Edam, Volendam, Zaanse Schans, Marken) or I can guide you through a museum. Please let me know! Looking forward meeting you! Best wishes, Petra

I love walking tours, chatting with locals, and eating new foods and would absolutely book another tour via Bonappetour. On this tour with Petra we walked through wonderful areas of Amsterdam that we may have not known to visit otherwise. However, Petra walked so quickly that it made taking photos or looking in shop windows near impossible. It was neat to see her artwork at her home, but I wish I had noticed the distance her home was away from where we were staying. It is even quite a walk from Central Station. My suggestions to Petra would be to walk much slower and explain more, as I really wanted to learn more about the city.
