ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

This is a special dinner, where we use all our other senses, except for that of the sight. As a photographer, I would like to reflect about what it means to "see". After that, we we will cover your eyes and serve some dishes that have to work smell and especially the palate to find the origins of scents, flavors. You will then come to realize how important the sight is in recognizing combinations of foods and drinks. We will also have a wine tasting where you will learn about the origins of the different wines.

ABOUT THEMENU

A unique opportunity to heighten the senses of taste, touch, smell and sound - experienced through gastronomy. You will be served a 4 course meal, with wine, of course. If you have any food preferences, please let me know.

ABOUT THELOCATION

My apartment is located in the center of Barcelona, 3 minutes from La Rambla and the Columbus statue, in the Gothic Quarter and next to all the interesting things in the old part of the city.

We joined Pablo in his apartment near LA Rambla for dinner. He has a very lovely space with music and candle light overlooking the City. Pablo is a photographer and a former chef. His English is very good making it easy for us to have a conversation. He is from the Basque country and we had a good review of the geography and history of the area. We started with a simple appetizer of Humos and bread and wine from Reberia, followed by a very interesting Tibetian salad (see photo) that paired peanuts and puffed rice with a mélange of vegetables- very nice! The main course was a Basque stew of potatoes, carrots and fish. Postre was fruit and a thick chocolate sauce. We talked over coffee until 22:00. It was everything we hoped for in a Bonappetour evening - a lovely and welcoming home, friendly and intelligent host and tasty and interesting dinner. We would recommend Pablo to others!
