ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

I grew up in sunny Singapore and my roots are Cantonese-Chinese. Being a resident of a cosmopolitan and vibrant country in Southeast Asia has provided me with a lot of knowledge on local cuisines and delicacies. This dinner experience will take you to sample dishes with Cantonese, Chinese, Hokkien and Malay influences which my mum has prepared lovingly every time for our dinner table. You will be in for a taste of home!

ABOUT THEMENU

Entre: Shredded duck with fruit salad in sweet dressing (comes with honey dew and pineapple shreds garnished with fresh ground peanuts and walnuts), Crispy vegetarian spring rolls (filled with loads of carrots and cabbage), Crispy wontons (Chinese dumplings with pork and prawn mince)
Mains: Braised pork belly serve with home made steamed Chinese buns, french beans in mild spicy sambal sauce. Basmati rice serve to go with the mains
Dessert: A choice of red bean pudding or chocolate coconut pudding
Sweet snacks to take home (optional): Complimentary pineapple tarts
Drinks: Complimentary lime lemonade
BYO : The flavours for this event is a mix of sweet savoury and mildly spicy french beans on rice for the mains. I suggest a crisp rich Chardonnay but a rich red goes well too. If you enjoy beer or cider, why not (!)

ABOUT THELOCATION

We are located in a peaceful and laid back residential neighbourhood between Parsons Green and Putney Bridge (Zone 2). There is a popular classic pub down at Parsons Green (about 4 -6 mins walk), The White Horse, known to locals as ‘The Sloaney Pony’ if you fancy after dinner local atmosphere. There are other local pubs and bars along Fulham High Street and New King's Road to enjoy the local vibrancy of drinking scene on a Saturday evening. During the day on a good weather, if you fancy a good 45 min walk, the route from Sloane Square to New King's Road is dotted with nice shops and parks Or you could cycle. The trip advisor is a good source for getting to know the touristy things to do around here in SW6. I also highly recommend Fishers Fish and Chips at 19 Fulham high street for the traditional crispy battered cod and chunky chips.
