The Eat Like a Local Tour is a 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) walking & drinking tour through the Gothic and La Barceloneta Districts and include 3 stops for drinks and tapas. Each eatery is unique in relation to local gastronomy, and family-run. On this Barcelona tour, a total of 4 different drinks are carefully tasted and paired to a delicious tapa. The tour also includes tasting the most emblematic Barcelona food: La Bomba, and a beer-pairing guide!.
I am a food lover, who lives in Barcelona for more than 10 years, I love to celebrate people who are
We did the Beer and Tapas tour on a short notice but Marina was kind enough to accommodate us. Jessica, our tour guide, was phenomenal! She not only gave us a quick run down about the basics of beer - along with an awesome "beer-iodic table" chart which is actually really informative - but was very patient with my questions about beer and about the local beer scene in Barcelona. We visited 4 different places - an up and coming brewery, a busy local favorite, a pleasant hipster-ish bar, and finally topped it off with the famous La Bomba... all in the Barceloneta area. Jessica paired the tapas perfectly with each beer offering. We highly recommend this tour!
We did the Tapas and Beer tour with some friends. Jessica, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time with her and the other couple doing the tour. I would highly recommend booking your tour as it is a great way to visit the city while discovering some of the best local places to get tapas and beers!
This is definitely a must do for foodies visiting Barcelona! My boyfriend and I had a great afternoon with Andrea who is so lovely that it felt like we were walking around with a life-long friend. The journey began at the market (which is so much more authentic than the boqueria!) and then continued on to the best food and drink establishments in the area. We also stopped for chats about the local history in between. I have a gluten intolerance and was a bit wary about taking part in the food tour but each of the places we visited were very understanding and accommodated my needs without fuss. Our favourite part was dessert which was in the form of a milky drink called Horcata! I've never had anything like it before and it was great to try something so unique. Overall, an excellent tour and I will be recommending it to my friends and family! Thanks Andrea :)
