ABOUT THEEXPERIENCE

For a local Hong Konger, nothing screams comfort food louder than a steaming bowl of congee and golden crispy radish cakes.
We will cook up 5 savoury dishes that embody the heart and soul of Cantonese cuisine, served with home-made side dishes.
We will also teach you how to make assorted pickles in Cantonese style.
If you are looking for some hearty comfort food, come home to lunch at my place!

Congee with dry pak choi and salted pork bone
Pan-fried home-made radish cake
Stir-fried mushroom, bean and pork cubes
Stir-fried rice pasta with meat and vegetables
Stir-fried choy sum
Side-dishes: home-made pickled carrot and radish, salted egg, century egg with home-made pickled ginger, fermented bean-curd
Dessert: seasonal fruit

ABOUT THELOCATION

We live in Tin Hau, an area in Wan Chai district named after the famous Causeway Bay Tin Hau Temple. The neighbourhood was once a fishing village before land reclamation, and now it is home to one of Hong Kong's major shopping districts.

Shopaholics can make your way to the line of shopping malls after the meal. For the culturally curious, check out the Temple, Hong Kong Central Library and Victoria Park.
